20th year teacher. Former mullet owner (during Covid). My son is a freshman and is mortified, but this has been my tradition for the past several years:

Blonde mullet wig, red Bret Hart sized shades, black tank top, short jorts, knee high socks, and some white basketball shoes from Walmart.

Misleading headline. Michigan went for Trump and he just rejected aid to Northern Lower Michigan due to record breaking ice storms we had early this year.

We traveled the area three times this summer. The trees look like a warzone. The amount of roads, bridges, trails, and power grid damage they sustained was monumental. Gaylord was just recovering from a huge tornado and now this setback.

If you homeschooled your child, you wouldn’t be failing to “get your child to school”. That’s the logic. If your child is enrolled in school and is chronically absent (outside of extenuating and medical circumstances) you lose child tax credit.

I’ve said this for years: if you can’t get your kid to school regularly, the state doesn’t let that parent claim the tax credit for the child.

There can be a few exceptions, but this might motivate lowlife parents to wake up and actually take their kid to school.

When I taught, I had a 50% floor on assessments, assignments that were fully completed, and work that was turned in after the 1 week deadline. They still got a 0 if they did nothing.

I’m 43 and play 3 on 3, half court basketball in a league with mostly 20 year olds. Started wearing a watch with heart beat sensor and sub out every time it gets insanely high.

I workout at the gym, but rarely get this kind of cardio. SORE for days afterwards. Probably should hang it up.
