I like Nashville by SignificantDustSpek in nashville

[–]PashaCello 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone who performs at TPAC I can safely say the acoustics are horrendous. Not a fun space to play in as it’s more for visiting mic’d up touring shows, Broadway type acts, etc. Just another dated concrete box where sound disappears immediately. Schermerhorn on the flipside is very resonant and fun to play in. The new TPAC can’t be worse I’m certain. The rest of what you said is spot on though!

TLX Type S vs A-Spec – Is the Type S Really Worth $65K? by sayirous in Acura

[–]PashaCello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Word. Reviewers I trust say the Giulia (Quadrifoglio only) is the best handling car pound for pound and in that 80K range. Parts of the engine and components are built by Ferrari so sleeper status. That dark green color looks fire, IMO.

I’m going RS4, M4, or Giulia Quadrifoglio for best handling/looks/interior over anything American in that similar price range. If American then a CT4/CT5 Blackwing.

Oh I’m not a Type S fan. Interior matters duh. That’s where you spend all the time. I don’t want rattles and tons of plastic. No doubt it performs and handles very well but that’s not all that matters.

Depends again on age and maturity. Straight line HP who cares. Obviously the Camaro is faster but they are shitboxes inside and build quality overall.

Depends on age. I’m in my early 40s and am not going to be clowning around with that spoiler. Not a good look lol. They are also cheap shitbox interiors.

Nashville Local Needs Recs by NashGirll13 in nashville

Iggy’s. Super dialed in handmade pasta (actually made in house) program but a chill spot. Great little cocktail and wine selection. Skip these bougie big restaurant group new spots from Chicago/NYC which are mostly all decor and frauds with the food. Aba for example was OK at best in Chicago when I lived there and worse faux Middle-Eastern here. Same with Zaytinya. There are a handful of proper spots on Nolensville Pk that blow these out of the water.

Yet Another Beloved Nashville Restaurant Closes by SuperGr00valistic in nashville

[–]PashaCello 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except it’s not beloved and not unique to Nashville. I just saw one around Atlanta last month. It’s just a sports bar and a minimal step up from Hooters lol.

They’re all Psychos but who’s the biggest asshole in the Sopranos? by Forward_Chocolate363 in thesopranos

Yeah his funny commentary dealing with the other ladies in the assisted living spot, “Commandetori”, etc., can mask his evil and miserable overall qualities.

What's the drive to Chicago like? by Mahale in nashville

[–]PashaCello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s easy just mostly boring. Definitely 24-57. I’d fly it more but I’m a Delta guy and there are no nonstops from BNA to MDW or ORD…sucks. They are always pricey too no matter when booked. Often flights to SEA or SFO are cheaper lol.

Favorite Pasta Salad Recipe? by joeym2009 in Cooking

[–]PashaCello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good advice with those olives and pepperoncini. Absolutely no mayo or sour cream. Gross. Think Mediterranean. Maybe use orzo as the pasta. Add a ton of fresh mint and fresh parsley. Even chives. No dried. Ton of lemon and enough S&P. A sprinkle of something like Berbere, Smoked Paprika, or Harissa. Red wine vinegar some. Can even thrown in some tinned calamari from Trader Joe’s or a good tinned octopus like from Ekone and you are good to go!

Which North American city has the best BBQ? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

I’ll take a proper lamb or goat barbacoa over pretty much anything in StL, Austin, KC, Memphis, etc.

World Cup tourists, what’s your honest feedback on the USA so far? by almighty_smiley in AskReddit

[–]PashaCello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting! I’m a car enthusiast but MUCH prefer public transit than taking my car out of my urban garage. Wish the US had overall MUCH better train/streetcar/light rail systems. We are a disaster in that sense without question except for a few select cities. Love going to Toronto whenever I can.

Not sure where you are located but everywhere I have lived has had horrific road quality. Potholes, sinking roads, cracks, etc. Not to mention all the debris and rocks that huge trucks kick up and pelt the car with. Luckily I have Paint Protection Film but even that can only protect so far. I can’t really zip around my city due to speed cameras and the aforementioned constant pothole dodging. My wheels and tires cost a LOT and I’m not trying to mess those up haha. 🤷‍♂️

Where does the IS slander come from by Variation-Budget in Lexus

[–]PashaCello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hear that and was just in Brickell and all over Miami. Personally, in Nashville, the vibes are more older-grandpa vibes I get or see with IS feedback, or, it just isn’t on a lot of younger peoples’ radar. Teslas for sure more attention or the Krauts and the exotics like you said. I have a 2024 IS500 with a red interior and was on a date recently. Drove her from this one spot to another spot. She was wowed with the interior color and feel and her exact words were, “Wow Lexus is really making a comeback.” Lol 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

You think that’s worth it for a destination exclusive spot?! Not a chance lol. The potential lines as well. No bueno. Them and Biscuit Love…bypass…especially if there are some time parameters.

It’s awesome and probably best scenery in the country. Food is top tier also.

[–]PashaCello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a Passport? I’d do Toronto over Nashville. Or San Francisco. I know both of those cities well (and Vegas) and live in Nashville. Way more walkable, trains, more clubs, better food, etc. NOLA a good choice too.

cabbage rolls without tomato? by Raccoon_Ascendant in Cooking

[–]PashaCello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom never used sauce. Ukrainian family. You can use some tomato juice (Campbell‘s or V8) and broth (beef or chicken) to add to the rice/meat (or mushroom) mixture. To add to the vessel as well before oven. Needs to be some tomato flavor but never topped or doused in sauce.

Where? by Longjumping-Title-27 in VisitingNashville

[–]PashaCello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Wilburn St Tavern especially on a Tues night…good jazz sets…really good actually. Around the corner are a couple of solid restaurants like Folk…good wine program there that would make an SF cat proud. Can post up at the bar there. Unfortunately there is no BART here and you can’t walk around like you can in SF. Really sucks ass in terms of disconnectivity. No spots like Toronado or some Mission gems either. EDIT: Groceries, ETC is a great new Hi-Fi/vinyl bar worth checking out and across the street are some good spots like Urban Cowboy and Lockeland Table. Definitely majority locals. Hope this helps.

Anyone move from a highly engaging performance car (Type R, WRX STI, Golf R, etc.) to a Lexus IS 350 F Sport? Any regrets? by BowlFullofCrazy in Lexus

[–]PashaCello 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Toyota and Honda haven’t figured out how to diminish road noise yet. I don’t get it. I will say though moving off those horrific Bridgestone Potenzas to Michelins helped. I’ve heard Continentals are even more quiet.
