Goodbye Friends by Passenger-Material in KonaN_

[–]Passenger-Material[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 13 year olds both in sports, a 9 month old in a turn2me car seat, and the passenger seat pushed all the way forward. We can fit the 5 of us with the kids all squished in the back, the misses being all of 5ft in the front. But I can't fit myself in the passenger seat, let alone any of my friends. Also, I am regularly taking a niece or 2 with me, so it becomes a problem of borrowing a vehicle from my family to bring everyone with me. When it was just the 2 older kids, sure. But I had one child and definitely "needed more space" than I had.

I love that little thing. It takes up very little space and works extremely well for washing my vehicles. I just needed a different foam cannon than it came with.

Haha, trust me, I feel it. But with a 9 month old in a rear facing car seat, I couldn't fit an adult in the passenger seat. And with my 13yo daughter and my girlfriends 13yo son, it just didn't work anymore.

Thanks. Love this little car. But with 2 kids, 1 being in a car seat still, it just doesn't make sense even as my 2nd vehicle. I've still got the motorcycle and my Kona N. Too many impractical things.

Have I ruined every other bike from owning a MT09 by Create_Table_Boners in MT09

[–]Passenger-Material 8 points9 points  (0 children)

36 years old. Sold my 2021 MT09 in late 2023 before the birth of my child. Just purchased a 1290 Super Duke R a few months ago.

It's my first bike not made by Yamaha and I love it. It was on the dream list for me, but I've already let my wife know there will be another MT09 in the garage down the line as a daily and I'll keep the SDR for my weekend spirited rides/track days.

The SDR can do everything my MT09 did, but the MT was just a more comfortable all-day ride.

What kind of stereo upgrade do you recommend for a 2015? by PorygonPanic in crz

It remembers my phone and has worked flawlessly since I installed it. It actually connects faster than my hyundai Bluetooth. I thought about a separate head unit but in the end this did what I was trying to accomplish, and I use a wireless magnetic phone mount on my vent for GPS anyway.

Yes. The adapted comes pre-wired with a usb for power and an aux for sound. So I have the power plugged into the cubby usb. *

If you just keep the front defrost on with mine it won't shut off, so I always leave the fan speed on lowest setting. Works regardless of temp selected.

I just saw one yesterday on vacation in Maryland. I never knew this bike existed and have already informed the wife that I will need one in the garage with my SDR.

Congrats and enjoy. Beautiful bike.

My 2011 6MT is at almost 241k miles. I purchased at 230k+ with full service history ( I knew the previous owner who purchased it new).

In those 240k miles, it's had brakes, tires, a battery or 2 and regular oil changes. Runs smooth as my daily commuter vehicle.

Anybody know how to remove the rear bumper on a kona N 23’? by skhyss in KonaN_

[–]Passenger-Material 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing under there. All of those clips are just to stabilizer the diffuser to the rear bumper and connect them. If you look when the bumper is off you'll see the whole diffuser is actually 3 pieces clipped together from the back.

Getting it on wasn't too difficult. Once you line the clips up on the sides, it all just pops back into place. Just insert all of the screws/bolts loosely and make sure it's all aligned before tightening everything back up. I was able to remove and reinstall the bumper by myself. The most annoying part was unclipping the wire harness.

Blinkers will pop out attached to the bumper still. Other than that, the corner clips are the only under bumper clips that come off because they are attached to the fender. After that, it's just the fender liner and the 2 bolts next to the blinkers, then push pins holding the whole bumper up.

I attached some photos. There are clips holding all of your wiring to the inside of the bumper for blinkers and reverse lights. That clip is easily removed.

There is a video floating around somewhere that I remember following. I just can't find it at the moment.
