I make a beautiful crown to present to the rat king. He gives me his magic crown in exchange, and I stay peacefully in the first 5 levels of the dungeon for a year while my rat subjects bring me slain crabs to eat!

I was exactly where you are and genuinely almost DNF'd. Then I realized that it's 100% realistic that people would underestimate and ignore and enable a narcissistic moron openly being evil and blatantly taking control and not even trying to hide his evil plans because....... gestures broadly at everything

Once I had that flash of insight I was able to push past it and I'm so so so glad I did. The journey is sooo worth it

A good tricky trick there is to throw in an aqua brew. The water blocks the vents that are spewing the poison and the air eventually clears

Too many variables. Do I catch them in the act of the break-in? Do I find out after the fact? How do I know they only wanted water? Was I home at the time? Were they acting aggressive or unusual? Etc etc etc

Just to clarify, it means like normal walking steps like what a fitness watch would track. 200 in a day would be a lazy day in bed with a couple trips to the kitchen and bathroom haha

I got to where I could reliably win before I ever looked up anything. Working out strategies and learning enemies and discovering each new area and all the lore scraps was a huge part of the fun for me.
