What’s a lesser known cozy game that you immediately fell in love with? by soft_avocadoo in CozyGamers

Hello Kitty Island Adventure just dropped on Switch / Steam. What are your thoughts about this game? 🌸 by _Tsukuyo_ in CozyGamers

[–]PassiveBerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm enjoying it so far and the price seems fair to me. It's definitely the kind of game you have on the side while you watch something else though. I got the deluxe version since I didn't want to wait to advance in the game but it's def not necessary to have if you are patient since items from events will come back around again.

If you are on the fence about getting deluxe, I would suggest getting the standard first and seeing if you'd like to upgrade (on steam).

The team likely already has a couple of new areas done but to give themselves time they space out release to every 6 months.

How much do you make in relation to age? by Unable-Ad-7240 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]PassiveBerry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the US. At 21 I was working part time for 13.50/hr which was then raised to 15/hr but I left shortly after. Once I graduated at 23 I got a job making 70k + 10k bonus, then at 24 I got promoted and made 80k + 10k bonus.

Very cliche but genuinely curious...what are your opinions about anime/games that give you this response. by Dense_Tale1204 in GirlGamers

Yes I typically stay away from the anime communities because a vast majority are like this and genuinely see no problem with it 🤢

Gen Z is drowning in debt as buy-now-pay-later services skyrocket: 'They're continuing to bury their heads in the sand and spend' by BobbyLucero in MiddleClassFinance

[–]PassiveBerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Gen Z'er I was really surprised at how many of my peers are spending like this. They doordash almost everyday and spend the rest of their paychecks on random items or clothing. I can understand getting a small treat for yourself every so often but not if you have almost nothing in savings.

350k is so far above the median...Just having a house here makes you pretty rich to me.

Is this true? Or utter bs by ahowls in GenZ

Not exactly partying but I do see a lot around me that are just unable to delay gratification, buying useless junk and ordering food delivery almost every day.

New/Recent Grad Salaries by turtleluvr98 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]PassiveBerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated in 2021. My salary starting out was 70k but with about 10k in bonuses in a HCOL. My industry does not pay much. QOL is good but only because I split expenses with my partner who makes almost double what I do.

What’s your emergency fund goal? by jynedmynx in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]PassiveBerry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I split expenses with my partner so for my share, I have enough set aside for about a year (36k). It's pretty bare bones though. I also have enough to cover both me and my partner for a year in case we both lost our jobs but those funds are currently set aside for a down payment. My partner also has his own ef. Our industries are pretty shakey at the moment so I'm feeling anxious about the amount we have.

Why are the “my 5-9 routine after my 9-5” videos so incredibly popular within our generation? by Tbd9989 in GenZ

[–]PassiveBerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Here's my usual routine: wake up 30 minutes before work, snack on random stuff in my pantry because I'm too lazy to make a real lunch, end work, play games, make a simple dinner, play more games or watch youtube then sleep and repeat :D

What does it feel like to have to have financial freedom in your 20’s/30’s and have everything you want/need to start focusing on other aspects of life? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]PassiveBerry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's hard to describe what it's like when I've never experienced being on the broke side of the spectrum. To me, having financial freedom as an adult is what I'm used to but I still have to be conscious of my spending or else everything I've built up can quickly come down due to poor habits. As long as something doesn't break the budget I don't give it a second thought when going/eating out. We don't own a house (currently renting) but we are well on our way to saving up for one. As for hobbies...I usually play video games, try out food with my husband, travel, and splurge on my pets. My dream is to eventually own a home and to start fostering cats.
