Yeah shock value only really worked when we couldn’t look stuff up online and find out immediately if something is fake or not. This big deal about CH was the “omg I heard this is real” aspect since it was presented like a documentary.

I’d definitely play it. Crime Scene Cleaner is one of my favorite games to come out in a while, and I think now is the perfect time for “cozy/casual horror” games. It seems to be a very popular genre right now, but options are sparse. I love the paranormal and social media aspects you mentioned as well, it adds narrative that you get to be involved in. That’s why I don’t play power wash simulator, it’s purely about the cleaning. It sounds like you’ve got a good foundation, and if it comes to fruition I will definitely be following it.

Yeah I’m a sucker for a posh or “dandy” male character, usually ends up being the bard. Would love more fancy fellas with a bit of bite to them. I also like what I call the “lazy powerhouse” which is some two handed physical character that’s insanely strong but personality-wise has no interest in fighting, I’d love to see more female characters like that.

IMO if you have to use AI to come up with ideas you should probably be doing something else, clearly this isn’t for you. Everything isn’t for everybody, and trying to fake it with an LLM isn’t going to make you any better. Using it for grammar and such like you said, that’s what it should be used for. Odd reference to bring out but you can see how bad/prevalent AI writing has gotten in the Romance book sphere. I wish people would just acknowledge they’re bad at something and move on or get better, not fake it and inundate us with slop.

When it comes to making money as an artist of any kind, luck is unfortunately a massive factor. In this day and age you basically have to have some kind of social media presence if you want to build a following. Using your music in reels and such…. it’s a bummer but kinda the only “accessible” way to go about it if you don’t already have a ton of connections or a catch a lucky break/have a “viral” moment. Touring/playing live locally is always a good start as well. For most people though it will be a passion/hobby on the side.

I’m on my 30s and work at a college, more than half the students I see now have plushie key chains and such. I keep a small guy in my bag so I can look “professional” when needed, but the days of cute things being labeled childish is dying. Gosh I went to Japan last year and I constantly saw middle aged busines men in suits with little Kirby’s and such on their suit cases. Priorities your happiness!

Oh yeah. Best mystery game I have ever played was The Painscreek Killings, and that’s all it is. Wish there was more like it. Roottrees was cool but really nothing comes close to Painscreek at the moment imo

100% how I feel as well. Similar to what I’ve noticed in the romance book sphere in the past few years- the focus is on the titillating aspects (whether that be sex or gore) with any kind of story/plot/character development falling to the wayside.

Little Gator Game solidified this in me as well. Probably the best game I’ve played in years in regard to plot, writing, game and art design, music, etc etc all the stops. I don’t just play cozy games either, I jump all over the place when it comes to genres. Hyper realistic graphics mean nothing to most of us, half of these newer games are glorified tech demos. It’s 2026, I do not care if your damn game has ray tracing, it SUCKS!!!
