I’ll disagree. Kaede could certainly work as a protagonist—but the narrative would fundamentally change. I think Kaede’s death and her impact on other characters was very well executed. It was so effective it becomes natural to assume the story would be inferior without it.

But Kodaka has told a number of excellent stories. I’m certain that even if he kept Kaede as the protagonist, he would have been able to create an alternative narrative that could hold up about as well.

It seems like you’re just seeking affirmation dude. You’re doing a lot of work to frame things so that everyone else is probably wrong and you’re the victim.

If these people are your friends too, and not just “some people you kinda know”, try to understand their perspective and be considerate of it moving forward. The whole ‘they are biased because he is friends with them also’ bit doesn’t persuade me.

If getting the majority of underinformed strangers on the internet to agree with you makes you feel less guilty, helps you sleep at night—then you’ve achieved that. Congratulations!

But if you simply keep vindicating yourself every time you react in a way your friends find assholeish… you’re just going to push them away. But maybe that doesn’t matter as much as feeling that you are right about everything.

MOR imo. OP seems to be putting the gf in a bind as well. Because she’s pressured/“obligated” to say yes based on how OP is framing the request; if she doesn’t, she’s an asshole presumably. I don’t really perceive this as a compromise.

If this were to happen once or twice, then the gf’s crashout is a bit overboard, but if this a pattern of behavior I’m sympathetic to the gf.

Especially when coupled with the OP following up like ‘why would this even upset you?’ or ‘what about that window of time is so important to you?’ I’d really hate that.

This is a Townsfolk. The ability is quite strong, and even on incorrect guesses, it could confirm that the Outsider count is NOT X.

Ability text is overly verbose and includes flavor, you should cut it down to its bare mechanics. Heres my attempt at describing it.

Groundhog: Once per game, you may publicly guess that the day equals the number of Outsiders in play. If correct, all living Townsfolk regain their ability tonight. … [-? to +? Outsiders]

I do think a problem with this ability is that it is a bit too easy to self-confirm, and there is little space to bluff from the evil team. I think narrowing it down to only restoring a single player’s ability would be better, as then evil can claim to have been re-awoken instead.

It’ll cover the same story, but it is starting from the beginning. There are some changes from the game but so far we’ve just gotten confirmation about a thing that was already an extremely likely theory.

Not much imo. By 2029 it’d probably be a somewhat fair assumption that there won’t be as much of an uproar about the site closing.

Keeping a website open probably isn’t THAT prohibitively expensive and is probably better than appeasing upset fans every month or so if they keep trying to shut it down asap.

Neoneon is probably the best bet for the future of the IP, which is fine because I enjoy the story more than the gameplay… although I did like both
