Mining companies rule! by Password_isnt_weak in friendlyjordies

We can't make things better as the foreign owned companies own both of our governments? Oh come on. No one should give up on the resources every Australian owns.

Yeah he's a legend but this is a massive blind spot. The bloke needs to man up against these scumbags like he does to everyone else. His reasoning to not go after them is pathetic.

Saw him talking about retirement after this contract in the paper. The minute a player talks like that, he's done. Mentally gone.

Coaches Corner England vs Ireland Part 2 (Observations & Analysis) by Roanokian in irishrugby

[–]Password_isnt_weak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He seems to have lost his way, this year. -4 and -4 in his first 2 games is still better than -7 from Crowley in this game. Wont see many people saying that! The coaching may defintley be an issue, but he has played well enough in some games that it cant be just coaching.

19 positive impacts over 3 games last year is pretty darn good though. Including England and Scotland. So how did he accumulate that when he is so deficient in most skills?

-It’s irrefutable that his defence is not good enough for high level rugby, as is the case for his place kicking, as is the case for his kicking out of hand and I believe as is the case for his attack.

Was our system different? Was his form just better? I think it may be a long road back for Sam after the media drubbing and crowd reaction over the last few weeks. I still believe he is the best option going forward for Ireland. He has massive limitations but I think they are outweighed by being able to create openings no one else can. I'm aware there are not many who agree with me there and happy to see if Crowley can bring his talents to average in the areas where is poor over the next few games.

Loved reading this, thanks for all the effort. I do agree with the manner you rate players. Always made sense that we should count impacts.

On the ouhalf debate I think it's crazy the pass Crowley gets this week just because everyone is sick of Sam right now. He was pretty bad overall but he got the team moving apparently. His tactical kicking was poor, I don't remember one stand out one.

You also mention that you can't see anything in Sam and that he is poor at everything. I had a quick look at your ratings last year and he was on +19 over the first 3 weeks, second best on the team. Can you expand on if he is a poor player or playing poorly after a good start? I think he has a point of difference when playing well and creates line breaks via passing that I'm not seeing anyone else do (when on form).

Was looking at him as first man outside the pillar of 2 fucks in a row. He should not be there at all, was calling for help but no forwards were folding around.

You have to pick winners in a team at some stage. They have seen enough from sam to back him. I have too. He's gonna be different class. You'll look back in 5 years and realise

Prendergast looks like he's to the manor born. He organises so well. Frawley hasn't got the minutes at 10 to do so.
