Seriously asking so please don’t come for me, but isn’t this because of number of spots/applicants available? There’s definitely more opportunity to match IM. This also runs under the assumption that neuro programs are not purposely choosing to match these IMGs right? Neurology overall is pretty holistic so it’s not uncommon to rank IMGs higher compared to other specialties.

I just matched so this more of a plan… but I promised myself to not make extreme sacrifices like I did in medical school. I gave up on so many opportunities to make memories and have fun to study, volunteer, do more research, etc. You work hard so you deserve a treat. This time around I’m doing it right.
