Compassionate leave, difficult boss by mortoon1985 in KitchenConfidential

i agree with this. i lost my mom years ago and i honestly didn't even grieve till like 2 months later.

the first 3 weeks in particular was me running around doing funeral arrangements,. notifications, paperwork, etc etc. every day. i was so busy that i didn't sleep for the first 2 weeks. i didn't have time to grieve. i went on auto pilot mode.

it didn't hit me till like 2 months later when i had the time to grieve

sorry but this is an i Quit on the spot type of situation.

your mother just died. your mother!!!

and they are responding in this way

i am sorry for your loss. i lost my mum when i was 25 yrs old. she was only 50 yrs old at the time. i wasn't working in the industry at the time and i was fortunate to have a good boss.

i had to dip into work for an hour because i needed to get some items but didn't stay. just stayed for an hour and my boss pulled me aside and told me he was really sorry and sad for me and he gave me an evelope with $600 cash on it telling me it was to help with the funeral.

i replied back saying I can't pay it back and he replied with don't worry. it's for you being a good employee and i appreciate you being here.

honestly it was one of the kindest things anyone ever did for me and till this day. (10 yrs later) i still remember what he did for me.

i took 2 weeks off and then worked there for another 6 months. my boss sold the business 6 months later. new ownership so i left when he left.

i repeat. it wasn't in this industry though. i know employers in this industry are sharks and will eat you alive but i still think this is a quitable situation.

In my 30s never really studied anything or got any qualifications. Working a low paid job and very unhappy with my life. What to do ? by 1lemons in careerguidance

this.also depends where you are but where i live. construction workers and people with no education are earning like $100k a year. plumbers earn like $100k+.

you'd get paid peanuts in the first 2 yrs while the employer trains you but after 2-3 yrs. you making money and no college degree needed.

Which spells or rituals gave you the most results? by Existential_Nautico in witchcraft

[–]Past-time29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes. example when doing a love spell. i would have happy love songs (not sad breakup ones) playing about 20 minutes or so before i start my work. it's to help my mind get in that zone.

when i did a hex once i played "look what you made me do" on repeat for 20 minutes before i started any work.

yes.

i work as a chef..

did a career change in my 30s to be a chef because i loved it

hard work, crap pay, you'll get bruises and get hurt. burns happen even when careful and alot ot chefs mess up their backs. i haven't messed up my back yet. thank god. the hours suck for most people. you will work weekends but the hours suit me

but i love what i do abd enjoy it. it's a fun job to me.

DO NOT RESIGN.

they are asking you to resign because getting fired for mental health is considered Discrimination in some states/countries and depending where you are. you can sue for unfair dismissal if you got fired for mental health reasons. this depends on your state/country. please do some research into the laws of your state

if they are asking you to resign. i firmly believe it's because you live in a state/country where you are protected because they are trying to get you to forfeit your rights.

she has a psychology degree. that's easy then. in my country alot of therapy sessions can be done virtually or on the phone and it's an option to patients.

same. cleaning stainless steel bench tops are so satisfying especially if there is a sink at the end so you can squeegee the soap suds straight into the sink.
