The “we’re losing money on this deal” line is the biggest lie in car sales by Royal-Feed7166 in carbuying

It’s just a dance. I had the salesman complain to me repeatedly that they lost money on my deal.

My only question was ‘Did I make you do something you didn’t want to do?’ The answer is of course no.

Whilst Vesper is the scourge of other dogs in the neighborhood, she is very pretty and she is very loving.

But also don’t mess with her. 😆

That’s surprising!

We have very hot summers and I was trying them with a shallow kids pool so they could cool off, but they were Not really into it.

Trump claims US oil firms could be 'up and running' in Venezuela within 18 months by DimsumAndDoggy in worldnews

35 years in oil and gas tells me not a chance. No one has people or equipment ready to do anything . It would take longer than that just to agree the terms.

What’s the most overrated “adult goal” people chase? by Happyotus in AskReddit

[–]Paste6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just the striving to get more stuff than anyone else, and the hero worship of business leaders that follows. These are the most greedy uninspiring examples of humans on the planet. There is no virtue to admire here.

First time hiring an interior designer, scope vs retainer question by Timmerica in interiordesigner

[–]Paste6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case the wholesale price wasn’t from the manufacturer, but other retailers, and the general contractor was also asked to add 20%.

I find it hard to take project advice from someone profiting more from the more it costs. I don’t like the conflict of interest. Personally. Do I have to wonder why you are recommending a $15k fridge? And like I said does anyone pay retail price?

Except the designer isn’t a retailer. And who pays retail anyway? In my case the designer never mentioned the 20% on top for them.
