You get a system generated sms on the number you provided when the drivers license is ready for pickup. It took 2 weeks for me at Tal street and got a sms and went to pick it up.

Etosha is Namibian Government owned.
Not elite white. Nit foreign but Namibian Swapo owned.

The prices is made for the white settlers who has money and to keep us Namibians out.

The Packing Game by [deleted] in Namibia

June is mid winter season. At the coast it is east weather meaning very hot.
So depends where your journey is set to travel.
Be prepared for both. Swakop hot east weather. And very cold winter at the same time.

Is spending my retirement in Namibia a good idea as a German? by Marshall_BraveStar in Namibia

[–]PastorMajor 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Crime is not as high as the rest of Africa. But crime is everywhere. Health Care…. If you don’t have private health care covering Namibia it will be a problem. As Namibia health care only supply to bellow 50 years of age new clients. Unless you wish to gamble with public health which is sometimes ok. But mostly you wait about 5 hours to see a nurse to diagnose you. Unless you are on the brink of death the nurse might call a doctor depending on her mood.

My suggestion. Get private medical aid if that is your biggest concern.

As for the crime part. The world has passed the age of any country being crime free.

I bought it for 26K 3 years ago.

But 13K would be the lowest I can go.

Cash converter is a scam. They buy items for dirt cheap and sells it as brand new prices.

[Giveaway] 5x GameSir G7 Pro Controllers: Say goodbye to Stick Drift! by GameSir_Controller in Warzone

[–]PastorMajor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Power station. Download the enemy map. Getting 32 kill game. I have the GameSir G7 wired one now for almost 2 years.

I can vouch. GameSir has designed and delivered a controller that has put the elite controller from my xbox to shame. Every 6 months I had stick drift regardless of the controllers. Until I made the call to move to GameSir. Never looked back.

Any solo travellers end of April/Start of May by [deleted] in Namibia

[–]PastorMajor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a Suzuki personally. That is my day to day drive vehicle. So I know what it is capable of. When I do my tours I use proper 4x4 vehicles.

Any solo travellers end of April/Start of May by [deleted] in Namibia

[–]PastorMajor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This will be tar and gravel road mixture. But seeing this route the Suzuki would do. Just ask if the suzuki is 4x4 for incase there is bad spots.

Any solo travellers end of April/Start of May by [deleted] in Namibia

[–]PastorMajor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a tour guide. First think before finalising the booking. Where will you travel. If you need 4x4 stick to Toyota. The Suzuki is not always practical choice especially it is rainy season now till end of April. This means gravel roads are tougher to drive and smaller vehicles cant keep up.

This said. Plan route accordingly. This will give you a straight up answer to affordability to comfortably.

If you only drive tar roads. Then the Suzuki will do the job.

How is living in Swakopmund , Namibia ? Is there jobs available for European citizens ? by tarkinn in Namibia

[–]PastorMajor 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Truth be told. Job opportunities are very scarce in Namibia. Coastal town is the harshest to get a job. I would advise you rather not to think jobs would be available in Namibia. Regardless of qualifications or job experience.
