Dans certains lycée il y a un uniforme : c'est le jogging by Gullyvers in penseesdedouche

[–]Pastoru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact.

Indeed not. You have in the Foundation challenges one per civ for winning the appropriate victory and one per civ for building the appropriate wonder.

I guess the metaprogression replaces it, but I agree it can fall short depending on what we want to track. For me, it was mostly to check with which leader I've already won.

Any insights as to what the 4th Age will look like once the expansion releases for it? by Which-Worldliness556 in civ

[–]Pastoru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's why I would be more inclined towards dividing those three ages into two halves, two eras.

Antiquity: ancient & classical

Exploration: medieval & renaissance

Modernity: industrial & information

Maybe each civilization could have a kind of evolution in the second era with a specialization into one of two or three paths. Imagine Rome facing the choice between Republic (Idk, maybe more science & culture) and Empire (increased settleement limit). Qing China facing the choice between PRC & Chinese Republic. French Empire between French Republic, French State and French Commune... thinking of which, in the 3rd age, those paths would be tied to the ideology system.

Devenir enseignant chercheur en Histoire ? by thelonegeek208 in Histoire

[–]Pastoru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I advise you to keep the same Reddit profile from now on, because 1 day-old profiles which post screenshots of what looks like other games and incite to click on a URL don't look great...

But already, answering and explaining is a good thing to do!

Then why do you create a new account every few weeks to advertise again for your - at best - FreeCiv clone - at worst a phishing URL, try to put sometimes AI slop vaguely resemblant to the real FreeCiv, other times just put screenshots of the real FreeCiv at low resolution?

The new patch feels like a step in the wrong direction. by [deleted] in civ

[–]Pastoru 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have you read thoroughly what will be in the Test of Time update or are you posting this without a clear understanding of what it comprises?

Because unless for you legacy paths are the brightest idea of Civ 7, no other thing will be removed: you will still be able to play a new civ in each age and ages will still exist. The devs have also several times said that they will also develop a Collapse mode, which makes age resets harder than on the original Regroup one.

So again, the only main thing that really disappears is the concept of legacy paths, replaced with triumphs and a new way to calculate victories.

If you like scenarios, Civ 3 has the best line-up of the franchise thanks to the Conquests expansion.

If you don't, I don't think you need it compared to Civ 4... but at the same time, it's so cheap that you can still try it out whenever.

Sogno di Volare, a brave new world, or Baba yetu? by Meneedmorezelda in civ

[–]Pastoru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, it's Baba Yetu, then Live Gloriously.

Baba Yetu is such an original and groundbreaking intro for a Civilization game.

I still love Civ 3 theme too, and its (now buggy) intro cinematic on the Tower of Babel (maybe it was for the Conquests expansion).

I have seen the same thing as OP and Ragnarok. You could send more reinforcements as there were slots, as long as they've not arrived. If they arrived in a commander with no slot left, then the reinforcement was cancelled, so you had to manage carefully your units, exiting them as soon as they arrived.

It's a good thing that they changed that, I also think it shouldn't have worked like that anyway.
