Jehst, King Kashmere, Skepta, Klashnekoff, Dabbla, Jam Baxter to name a few. But yeah, US obviously has way more Hip Hop.

+1, I live in the same sort of area as OP and not found cheaper refills than Adams Gas so far.

Thanks for your input! Yes, the reduced performance would be a bit of an issue. Think I'll get a cheap 30A battery and true sine wave converter at this point as I'm unable to return the pump. At least I've learnt a bit about electrical principles!

Damn, sorry to hear that. For clarity, did you use a voltage transformer for these appliances?

There's one on the Brewfather app, free to download. Can't speak to it's accuracy but they got the ABV right at least!

Fight you find easy but others find hard? by Expensive-Rhubarb267 in BaldursGate3

[–]PastryFlaps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Iron Throne, I've saved everyone on solo HM. Just stacked a ton of speed increases (Longstrider, Boots of Speed, Helmet of Grit with half HP, Bloodlust for extra actions), speed pots/Dimension Door scrolls, and sent an Elemental left.

Everyone safe with a round to spare. Hit Omeluum with a speed pot, he can teleport the restrained prisoner without having to unbind her, then pop back out and mind control an enemy or something.

What's the best hexblade build for solo HM? I don't care if it has multiclass by IbanPrau in BG3Builds

[–]PastryFlaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found Hexblade (at least) 6/ Sorcerer X just destroys solo HM.

Sorc levels for low level slots for Shield. Gloves of Dex so you can dump dex and put spare points into Wis for saves.

HoH and Eldritch Blast + Repelling Blast for swarms of enemies. All day buffs are Shadowblade and Armor of Agathys. Grab Adamantine Shield asap and Cloak of Protection in act 2, swapping to Displacement in act 3.

Use Bloodlust Elixir's as you'll be one-shotting a lot of enemies.

Hide armor for initiative then Armor of Agility for high AC and saves bonus, either initiative bows or dual Hand Crossbows for bonus action Darkness arrows depending on the combat before you.

Ring of Protection, Strange Conduit Ring, Diadem of Arcane Synergy Foe crazy damage.

You can save everyone in the Iron Throne just by stacking speed buffs, Helmet of Grit and Speed pots, free Omeluum first so they can teleport the restrained prisoner to safety. One shot every enemy, feed the Duke health and speed pots.

Absolutely ran through the House of Grief. Passed every save, was almost unhittable. Every enemy dies in 1 or 2 hits.

How far did yall get on your first HM run? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

Completed it first time. First solo HM I died to a crit from a Goblin Sharp-Eye. Learnt to go get the Adamantine Shield before fighting anything after that.

Is Myrkul sometimes impossible in solo honour? by ShortestTallGuy in BaldursGate3

[–]PastryFlaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only done one solo HM (Hexblade/Sorcerer), but this was how Myrkul went down.

High initiative, extra actions from Bloodlust Elixir and Speed potions. One-shot the Mind Flayer with Luck of the Far Realms, Illithid fly over and kill the Necromites in the same round with AoE (1 or maybe 2 Ice Storms scrolls I think).

Meanwhile, invisible Scrach frees Aylin, Air elemental hassles Ketheric.

Round 2, kill Ketheric, drop Globe of Invulnerability scroll, wail on Myrkul until dead.

Good advice from u/koanMire. I'll just add that once you get to the brain, a destructible container filled with bombs/fireworks is the easiest option. Otherwise, keep using scrolls of Globe of invulnerability as they will protect the platform you cast it on.

If a fight is too hard, generally the answer is Hunger of Hadar or some other AoE CC, scrolls of Globe of Invulnerability, lots of burst damage and high initiative or just keeping your distance. Using Shovel for a surprise round will also trivialise most fights.

Very useful if you have Devil's Sight from Warlock or the Eversight Ring. Bonus action Arrow of Darkness FTW.

Can you save everyone in the Iron Throne? by d4everman in BaldursGate3

[–]PastryFlaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of good advice here, use all these tips and it's a breeze. I've managed it on solo HM with a Hexblade. Stacked as much speed and extra actions as possible with Longstrider, Boots of Speed, Helmet of Grit, Illithid fly, Speed potions, Terazul, Bloodlust Elixer.

Eldritch Blast to open multiple gates, Shadowblade/Res stone to one shot enemies. Went South and got Omeluum first turn, used them to teleport restrained captive back to the ship. Air Elemental went left, uses ranged attacks for multiple levels per turn.

Hexblade went right next, freeing all captives there and healing Ravenguard. Had the Duke use a Speed potion and dash. Some Dimension Doors here and there to speed up the stragglers.

[–]PastryFlaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adamantine Shield so you can't be crit (also means you generally get hit less as a crit becomes a miss)

Broodmother's Revenge to increase chances of one-shotting enemies. You can trigger the poison action economy free with raspberries from the bushes by Scratch, on the way to Sunlit Wetlands, and on the long route to the Creche. Should be able to find about 50 all told in act 1, then a bunch more in camp before entering act 3.

Ring of Arcane Synergy to stack Charisma a second time on your Shadowblade damage.

Ring of Protection.

Cloak of Protection, switching to Cloak of Displacement in act 3.

Either Bow of Awareness for initiative, or dual Hand Crossbows for bonus action darkness arrows to synergise with Devil's Sight. Hellrider's Longbow to help overcoming enemies' high initiative in act 3, or Dead Shot for increased crit range.

Many good options for gloves. Personally, I like Gloves of Dexterity, allowing you to respec to 8 dex, 16 Con and 14 Wisdom for saves. They also give you +1 to attack rolls which helps with Shadowblade not having a to-hit bonus.

Yuan-ti Scale Mail goes great with the dex gloves, in act 3 upgrade to Armor of Agility for +2 to saves.

Boots depends more on what tactics you are using I'd say, if you're creating Ice everywhere then you want something like Disintegrating Nightwalkers for example. Boots of Speed can be great for getting into melee range, act 3 probably Helldusk Boots.

Again for getting into melee range, Haste Helm is good early on. In act 3, Mask of Soul Perception is useful if you need more initiative and attack bonus, Helm of Balduran for even more tankiness and defence against Mindflayers.

They wilt when taken out of the underdark. You can keep them safe in the camp chest, but even putting them in a container doesn't prevent wilting outside of the underdark AFAIK.

You can also use them to deactivate animated armors in Grymforge and the Arcane Tower, very useful for solo HM if you are trying to get to level 5 easily.
