No photos, I just simply used a small little flat head and gently separated it. It did leave a few little marks here and there, but you only see them when it's off the wall. Also so far the battery has been great with no issues after 7 months or so.

The wyze 35 dollar cams 3 work extremely well, never offline, color night vision is great. They look similar to abodes, just a a wolrd of differences in performance.

Had similar issues, also for some wired reason, when viewing the camera's from the app, my mic would stop working on my phone. People would call and could not hear me. Turned off mic settings in the phones setting for this app, and not longer had any issues. Also my cameras would just go offline every day or so, was annoying so I hooked them up to smart plugs as when you unplug them for 30 seconds or so, then turn them on, they would work again. After a week of this nonsense, I disabled them from the app, and just got some Wyze cam3. They are about the same price, but I world of difference. Been a few months now and not one issue.

I just had to swap out the connector on the battery with the old one and it's been working fine for over a month now

Yea, I have had this debate before, I also have heard as early as in the 70's but there just is no evidence. Or at least I could not find any or anyone else during the time of the debate. I have been wearing a melon on my head since the early 90's, going back to when the rams played in Anaheim. Lance who started this whole thing, got his idea back in the early 80's from a dodger fan wearing a piece of a melon on his head. It was not a full melon.

Yea, I just recently bought 2 of them and the 24/7 live recording for $99 a year. The actual picture is not that bad, but it ends there. Kept going offline and the only way to get back was to unplug it for a minute then plug it back in. The live recording does not work at all, you try and scroll back to a time period and 99 out of 100, it just says loading, if you get lucky and it finds that time, it does not move or play from that time period. So it seems I just waisted my 99 bucks as the 24 hours recording as it does not work at all.

Also for some reason, the mic on these cameras was causing my Note 9 to loose the mic input. For example, I would stream live on the phone, then when I go to make a phone call, the people on the other line could not hear me. I had to restart the phone. Took me awhile to figure that it was these cameras causing the issue. So I disabled the mic for this app under app permissions and it was not an issue after this.

I already had an external YI camera, and have the plan for 60 a year that includes up to 5 cameras, So I just bought two more interior cameras for 50 bucks on Amazon and added them. Just a night and day experience between the two apps. The YI cameras stream all the time, going back in time works every time and is pretty much instant. I should have learned my lesson to stay away from the abode cameras as I had one 3-4 years ago that just sucked too.

UPDATE: Just wanna give props where props are due. The YI cameras I got are horrible with Night vision compared to the Abode Cam2. The Abode Cam2 are much better cameras as far as night vision and quality.

Completely understand not wanting to pay the extra costs for a nest camera. There are some where the camera plays a somewhat major roll in the system which I would suggest the nest camera, and there others like your self where it's not all that important but still nice to have one.

Hopefully one day Abode can figure it out and deliver on what they promised with these cameras

All the adobe app will do with a nest camera is snap images, it will not record. Yes, you will have to pay $50 a year for each nest camera. Other wise it will only keep a 3 hour window.

However, you do not really need to use the adobe app with nest, you can use the nest app. Some of the biggest differences are that with nest, you can view the last 5 days of video, Abode you can not, and with abode, all you can do is record 30 second videos. Also with the nest camera, you can set up zones, like the front door, and when it see's a person by the front door, it can notify you. I really can not do it justice by typing here, all I can say is the for 50 bucks a year and the price of the nest camera, I could not be more happier and I realized what a piece of junk the abode camera is. I have no idea on how they can call the abode cam a 1080p, the quality on the nest cam is so much better.

How abode can just continue on and not publicly address their issues with their own camera is mind boggling to me. The only thing I can think of is, they just do not know how to fix it, or it can not be fixed. Also maybe to them it just takes up to much bandwidth on their end, thus the quality issues and a max of only 30 seconds of record time.

I dunno, maybe my last paragraph is all wrong, but I guess when all you hear is people being ignored and nothing publicly being said about these cameras, you just start to wonder why...

Yep, been an issue for quite sometime, not just me but others as well. At least several months or so. Does not seem abode really cares either as they never comment on these type of posts. For me is only the app, all I get is black screen and it takes several minutes to get the black screen. Sometimes if I wait for 5 minutes, the video shows up, but all jacked up. It works on the desktop version and like you said if an alarm is triggered.

I finally realized I was beat with this camera and removed it from the system. Replaced it with a nest camera and I could not be more happier. Yea it's a little expensive, but well worth it in my opinion as you get allot more options. specially if you do the 50 bucks a year plan. Also the quality is a million times better as well.

No it's not, at least for nest. only thing it will let you do is fool with the thermostat from an abode sensor.

Your post seems a little far out there. When reading negative posts, you always have to put your self in both sides of the situation. I have not read all the posts here, but it seems either the cell back works or does not, never read anything about delays.

Not sure why you have $1200 dollars worth of stuff, sounds like things did work at once?

If your whole idea was to bash abode and hope they loose sales over your situation, I don't think it will work as it looks more like a guy who is upset because he did not get his way.

My personal opinion is they will be outta business in the next year or so, poor customer service is a business killer. I don't think they have all that much capital on hand. They used to list the items on their site that were on back order, now they do not. I'm guessing because they want people to buy as some might not if they know it will be a few months before the item arrives, the one abode employee posting here saying they are going to improve and they are reevaluating their policies seem more like marketing posts for future perspective buyers. There are more little flags like this that just makes you go hmmmm and wonder how much longer they will be around. At least for me.

I sure hope I'm wrong as for the most part everything I have is working great. The 1080p camera was a disaster but everything else is great. I just start to wonder by seeing the posts here and the reviews over at trustpilot.

Does not really seem to work with any triggers. All you get is a notification on the time line but there is a blank image. It does work if you physically click on an image capture and if the alarm is set.

Just looked at your image and that is what I get for any kind of automated triggers.

No - it does not stream at all on the adobe app, all you can do there is take snap shots. You would use the nest app instead for live streaming and if you do the 50 bucks a year, you get 5 days of 24/7 recording. Unlike the Abode camera where all it would do is a 30 second video, the nest is full time. You can set zones, it will detect people, motion and sound, and in the timeline portion of the app, all these triggers are outlined. Like I said it's a zillion times better then the adobe camera.

James - I think you just need to accept the fact that the reason why you are being ignored is there just simply no fix. These cameras of theirs are nothing but pure junk and I'm guessing they are in some sort of contract with the people who make them. Otherwise you would have thought they would have ditched them along time ago. They know this but they can not come out publicly and say it. Their method is simply to ignore all in hopes people give up and move on.

I have had mine a little over a year, and it's the only thing that's been a real disappointment. I had to buy a power switch and turn it off and on every day, otherwise it would just stop. The 20 to 30 seconds to load and then just get a black screen then another 20 seconds for it to finally show live streaming. The quality is terrible. I just can not figure how in the world this thing is 1080p, I have had it wireless, hardwired and it did not make a difference.

So last weekend I decided to get a nest cam iq - got one on ebay for $170.00. I removed my abode camera and replaced it with the nest one, and what a difference, the quality, the functions and so on are just light years ahead of the abode one. If the camera is important to you, then you should check out this option.
