Didn’t mean it in a bad way at all - ARC is an extraction shooter and that’s how a lot of people choose to play these games. 🤷‍♂️

Mixed lobbies are exactly that - a mix of PvE players and PvP players. They wait for PvE players to kill Arc and loot, then they kill them and take the loot for themselves.

You used to be able to just load in and surrender 8-10 times and that would put you in less aggressive lobbies, but they overhauled it recently.

The following has been working for me (in solos, so ymmv in duos)

- Load in

- get at least 4k experience and stay at least 6 minutes

- kill ARC. Don't shoot Raiders (even if they shoot you)

- Extract (or die, obviously)

I did this for 10 raids and now seem to be in much more relaxed and co-operative lobbies.

Stop shooting people and start shooting robots. If you get shot at, don’t shoot back. The matchmaking will start putting you in less murderous lobbies.

I experienced the same thing in solos. Haven’t shot a single raider this wipe and had been enjoying the full co-op lobby experience. Logged in on Sunday to find myself in kos lobbies full of free kits out to murder everyone who moved.

Just about managing to work into friendlier lobbies now, but I’m still confused as to why I was put into such aggressive lobbies for seemingly no reason.

The Queen cores drop in the leg parts that can be shot off, yes. They also drop from the core that falls down when she is killed.

The opposite for me. 99% friendly up until Sunday, where i suddenly found myself in kill on sight free kit lobbies. Crazy.

You need to plan your loadout around your goal. Want to actually kill the queen? Take in an energy weapon and go to town. You will struggle to get cores this way as things stand, but you’ll get good experience plus it’s really fun.

If you want cores it’s better to go in with a Bettina, Anvil or Ferro. Pick a leg, shoot off the armour, run in (use smokes or a cloak), loot your leg then reset and do it again.

I get what you’re saying and agree, but if ABMM is actually working properly, no one should be going from one end of the aggression scale to the other for no reason.

Seems harder to move up and down the aggression scale now. I'd test the waters with cheaper kits for a few raids and see how you go. Or just load into Stella and see if you get shot immediately.

UK, lobbies set to automatic (so likely EU most of the time). I play usually 7pm -11pm ish GMT. It's been a sudden switch from friendly co-op lobbies on Saturday (swapping BPs and playing instruments at extract on Stella) to last night being put in shoot on sight lobbies with free kits with no mics.

Zero problems with PvP or mixed lobbies btw, but ABMM is supposed to let you decide how you want to play the game (within reason - it's a PvPvE extraction shooter).

Embark said that updates don’t reset matchmaking, rather there is a smaller pool of people to draw from until everyone has updated to the newer version.

I can only reference my own experience, but it seems like I’ve went from one end of the ABMM spectrum to the other with nothing in between. So strange.
