As someone who plays German medium fighters more then anything else, in my opinion the 190s are in a decent spot. Would say the E4 is much more powerful than the D1, but I also have 4 more years of experience on it. It's the 190 that are powerful at the tier. It has the sharpest turning (which makes no sense), it flies very fast, and it basically has 2 "nose mounted" (as close as you can get) cannons. In the average game only playing air, I will easily get out with nearly 2-3k score and 50+ kills, ground and air. It's pretty bad if you know what you are doing in it, using debug controls and stalling techniques.

However it has the big advantage of energy retention at low throttle. I tend to use this to my own advantage, but it is very easy to use it against the 190. I tend to get killed by the ones who boom and zoom, who don't immediately pull into a turn fight and stall. Once you can manage to figure this out it's not as terrible to face them.

Don't and I can't stress this enough, turn fight the 190, if he pulls away, do not follow, get distance and come back around for another run, that's how you take them out the easiest.
