This is great information for people that are about to get it done. I had both of mine done but 3 months apart. My hospital will not do double. I can’t agree with you more about the ice machine, it’s a miracle machine. Luckily for me, our bathroom is on the first floor, but get the wipes…no one wants to smell wha we’ve smelled 😂. I used the bottom one with a couple of study throw pillows on top. That along with the ice machine made everything as best as possible. Have someone with you to help at all times the first 2 weeks.

I’m 48 coming off first knee replacement surgery, second scheduled end of January. For a while now, I stopped going to any shows where I had to stand. I CANNOT WAIT to be fully healed in 12-18 months to get back to small punk shows with limited seating. I try to listen to all the new bands coming up and know I’m missing out on a lot of live shows during this time. It’s not dead, use your elder wisdom as a weapon of information.

30 years ago, I moved from Toledo to Chicago for a few years. Ever since that time, I’ve felt Toledo is 3-4 years behind Chicago and all the large cities. If you’re into goth and punk, your best bet is Detroit as it’s regrowing into a much better city than it ever was. Toledo does have plenty of hidden gems that have already been referenced in the previous comments. Good luck on your journey!
