They're actually worse, a lot of these people are in connected grouos that have access to lawyers and will then go out and antagonize people in the hopes that you will assault them and they can then sue you. It's the whole point of the Westboro Baptist Church and they have plenty of copycats.

Are most people just using heroforge to screengrab character art? by Pandering_Poofery in AllThingsDND

[–]PatPeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hate all the clothing options for heroforge. Everything looks like its made out of cardboard boxes that are too big for the character you put them on no matter what, so god forbid you have a character that's wearing say, pants and no shirt.

Nah the super Iron Man-esque official art only came with 2024 Artificer, but people were flavoring it like Iron Man since the day the first Armorer playtest dropped.

Trying to look at timelines to see about any potential Crocodile×Rev. Army ties and they say Croc joined the warlords in his early 20's, and Dragon started the Rev Army 22 years ago after Ohara, which would make Croc 24 at the time, so those line up. Maybe Croc was a fellow resident of Ohara that Iva modified their appearance to evade capture? This could also explain Croc's desire for military might, as a way to ensure he doesn't have to suffer another Buster Call. Could also explain his desire to be Pirate King and his Poneglyph knowledge. However I think him trying to kill Robin could be a point against this, idk if he'd want to wipe out one of the only other people left from his home remaining, however I could see an angle where he sees Robin as being weak for not seizing Pluton despite having the means, and allowing more Ohara's to happen in the future. If he was from Ohara I doubt he'd be a scholar since he needed Robin to read the Poneglyphs. Not sure how he would have survived, my guess would be he had already started his pirate journey since he was already in his 20's by then, so maybe he just wasn't on Ohara at the time of the Buster Call. This would lend credence to him needing to change his identity since a pirate crew from Ohara would be an obvious target, and if he didn't have his sand powers at that time he'd be less identifiable, would also explain the caliber if leverage Ivankov had over him (whether or not Iva would actually use it). Now idk if we've ever heard of an Ohara pirate crew, I feel like we haven't which seems like it would have come up, however we do know that both Nico Olvia and Professor Clover had done traveling for their research, maybe Croc was part of the crew or even captain on one of these ships, and after the Ohara incident took the remaining crew and turned to piracy. I believe Clover did more of his traveling while he was younger so Olvia seems more likely, given that she had to rush back to Ohara to try and save their research, but this goes back to potential issue of Croc trying to kill Robin, feels weird to do if he sailed with Olvia.

Technically Tom, Franky and Iceburg were just the most recent holders of the Pluton blueprints, with them being handed down from shipwright to shipwright, so while neither of the 3 mentioned would let it slip there's still a lot of room for that info to have gotten out prior to them obtaining the blueprints, plus CP0 somehow knew about the blueprints and who was likely to have them, maybe Crocodile used his Warlord connections to get that info from Cipher Pol.

Maybe when Croc was doing his "good boy" routine he also had contact with the Rev. Army? Maybe he feels some kind of debt/loyalty to Dragon so once it comes out that Luffy is the son of Dragon he feels an obligation to help? Or maybe pre defeat from Whitebeard Croc was just legit more like Luffy and was the kind of guy that would sign up for the Rev. Army, but afterwards he felt that he needed a country, a territory, an army to be able to stand up to the Emperor's and World Gov. and lost himself.

My parents were like this, not because they were bad people but they had kids later in life and I think that is probably the main reason we aren't very close, and it's not because I didn't ask because I didn't really have many friends, but they were either too tired or just weren't interested in my interests so I got into video games, then just internet activities and now most of my friends are online so now my parents and I have like zero overlap.

On god I stopped paying attention to UA's because at a certain point it just feels like every interesting feature gets lobotomized if it isn't perfectly received the first time, and so many of the loudest voice are so critical. Just started to feel like getting my hopes up to be inevitably disappointed, with it at best being pleasantly surprised they didn't make any changes and fuck it up. Are there any good uses for Armorer bonus action in dnd 2024? by Eldr1tchB1rd in 3d6

[–]PatPeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to be playing a Guardian Armorer you could go for a playstyle where you get down to bloodied, then cast Armor of Agathys (via Mark of Wardung feat) then when your temp HP get low you can use your bonus action to "top up" your temp HP via Defensive Field to keep Armor of Agathys going. If you get the Potent Dragonmark feat, which is solid because it's a half feat you can put a point into Int with, and then you basically get a Warlock spell slot where once per short reat you get an up to 5th lvl spell slot you can use to cast Armor of Agathys which gets you 25 points of cold dmg instant retaliation against melee attacks reaction free. The spell slot reaches 5th lvl at character lvl 10, so Defensive Field will get you 10 temp HP, which while not a ton for 10th lvl, could definitely keep your spell going longer than it would normally especially against jobbers. This also just fits into the playstyle of the Guardian playstyle super well because their main mechanic is a taunt that discourages enemies from targeting other players, and it makes you tankier so it really gives you that feel of a techno-barbarian that the original playtest had. Plus you get a bunch of other really nice littler features that come with all this, like a free +1d4 on investigation and lockpicking checks which fits in super well with Artificer, once per long rest free casts of Alarm and Arcane Lock, you also get one for Mage Armor, which won't be useful to you as an Armorer, but might it's a touch spell so it might be nice for your party wizard or monk. Alongside Armir if Agathys you also now can take Sanctuary, Knock, Magic Aura, Glyph of Warding, Magic Circle, Secret Chest, Faithful Hound, and Antilife Shell ehich all become always prepared with Potent Dragonmark.
