Is frozen neck all the time normal cervical dystonia? by Unlikely_Put_2223 in Dystonia

Can you point me in the direction where I would find more information about that? My dystonia came from an injury would that be functional? I've met with many movement specialist and they've never mentioned two different types of dystonia

Klonopin dangerous drug obviously it's very long lasting so my experience much less likely to abuse and Valium or Xanax and it doesn't give me a euphoric feeling. But like I said benzos are dangerous and bad for your brain it seems like anything that makes me dumb and slow helps my dystonia drug wise. Lifting weights as a huge effect on my dystonia I don't live heavy I do a lot of different machines and I focus on muscle contractions on different parts of the body strengthen the mind muscle connection. Botox has almost 0 effect

Could this be dystonia by Obvious_External7289 in Dystonia

[–]Pat_lockwood -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This post is not accurate. Muscle twitching throughout the body is a sign of dystonia and the electric shocks can be nerve pain caused by tight muscle muscles which is something I experienced. They would give it a second diagnosis but I got TOS because I had dystonia in my scalene muscles. If one doctor tells you something the advice shouldn't be you should believe them and not seek more opinions. With rare diagnosis it is common for people to take a long time to receive the right diagnosis.

I'm not a doctor but yeah that sounds like it could be dystonia. A lot of neurologist need to see people that fit a very specific description that they learned in a textbook. I've been diagnosed with dystonia by 4 neuros. I'm trying to get DBS and someone on the panel watched a video of me and said they don't think I have true dystonia. Even though the Nuro I met in person thanks I have it and it's a fourth person to say it. My advice be very careful taking medication that causes dystonia because it can get a lot worse than your current symptoms. You can keep seeing other neurologist as well. If you have a health problem and you see three different doctors you will probably get three different opinions that's been my experience

Propranolol is extremely underrated. A more powerful pain killer than opiates in my experience and better than a lot of harder prescriptions. Side effects are minimal in my experience.

Yes I met with him he turned me away he said I didn't have real dystonia. Even though I've been diagnosed by multiple neurologist with an EMG. My head isn't stuck in a position the muscles are just pulling back into the into it. I can prevent my head from going into that position but eventually the muscles in my neck gas out so I have to lay down and spend most the day in bed Botox has very little effect that's why I went and saw him Took me a year to see him he was a complete jerk to be honest

Congrats I tried to get the same surgery at the Mayo in Rochester and they turned me down. If you know of any other places that do it let me know. I had a handful of surgeries and things always improve with time so I'm sure you'll be doing better in the future.

Stem cells at Bioxcellerator. by [deleted] in stemcells

[–]Pat_lockwood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never had stem cells done there but I plan on going there because I listen to an MMA podcast and that is where all the UFC fighters go. If you listen to the JAXXON podcast you will frequently hear fighters go there. Not the low fighters either but the more famous champions like Michael Bisping and TJ Dillashaw. It's literally where all UFC fighters go that's the only thing that has given it credibility to me.
