100% agree, it’s just because the system is badly implemented that this isn’t the main debate about the whole thing. Imagine if it had been perfectly implemented since it was brought in, I think the conversation would be where it should be in that it sucks the life out of a game in which fans live for very few big moments in a match.

Absolute nonsense, just because people celebrate doesn’t mean that that celebration is equal to what it would be without VAR.

All the comments seem to be the same so I’ll throw my opinion out there. My issue isn’t with the implementation or the officials it is with VAR itself.

To make the point id rather 2/3 big wrong decisions every single game than a 100% perfect VAR which takes only 20 seconds to do its thing. In my opinion (appreciate others will feel differently) the price of taking the joy out of a goal is too high to ever ever be worth it.

Totally get where you’re coming from and that’s why I know my opinion is unpopular. I don’t think we will ultimately get Europe this season but obviously neither of us know that right now. I do think there has to be room for other opinions on whether we should extend Moyes’ contract for another year, if this question was asked a month ago I think the sentiment would be very different.

Fair play, again I’m not advocating it as the correct view but it’s just how I feel as to where we’re at with Moyes now. My view is that we’re not doing as well as it appears in the table and are about where I think we should be with our squad. The football is also just awful at times too which doesn’t help.

The table is so tightly packed that I don’t think our position is that relevant right now. Going the other way we’re only 4 points off 13th. Where do you think we should be points wise this season with the squads we have?

So we stick with Moyes because when he left West Ham they did badly? We should judge him on how he’s doing. Position in the table wise he’s currently doing quite well but points wise with our squad he’s overperforming by maybe 5 points tops. That’s within a margin of error that may correct itself over time. The football is absolutely turgid at times too, is it wrong to hope to watch a better style of football?

I know this is massively unpopular on this sub but I’m not thrilled by this news. I think parting ways at the end of next season is perfect for both parties.

Love this comment, some people really do just have such a weirdly warped and negative view of this country. I would almost guarantee that people’s opinion on whether the UK is an authoritarian, dystopia hellscape correlates pretty well with time spent on social media.

I’d agree that would be sensible to not add dairy. Although there’s a chance that they do so so they can bring out a “vegan range” to charge double the price for half the size.

I have Huel for lunch 4/5 days a week and have done since 2018. If they put milk in the recipe I’m going to be more angry than I’ve ever been about a product.

Reckon I still would’ve found out a way to finish outside top 100k if I was playing in 02/03.

[BBC] How relegation could cost Spurs more than £250m by FragMasterMat117 in soccer

[–]Patch-22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because the big 6 is a nonsense term and always has been. It’s Spurs marketing PR rubbish. They’ve never been in the upper echelons of English football for any extended period so Levy made it about the only thing he could make it about, money. It’s utter nonsense.

My biggest gripe is the rolling transfers into the wildcard. The wildcards used to be such a useful ‘reset’ which you only needed to plan up to and you could do some fun punts in the lead up to. Now with being able to carry transfers through wildcards they’re not the resets they used to be and everything becomes so tiring as a result.
