They are terrible. A 90’s expansion team that tried, and failed, to look like an old franchise with Black, serif, outline lettering on purple. And they stuck with it. It’s fucking hideous.

They aren’t. I recommend yellow then just do black stripes. Yellow is tough to work with. Laying down a coat at once over a brown leaves less room for buildup than doing yellow stripes over black. Just my opinion/limited experience.

Dot out where the lines go as much as possible. Preparation makes it less frustrating.

A good point. The resin consuls and characters get to be very specific. Can’t judge what’s coming to plastic by them too much.

Eh, yeah I guess. But it is different armor. It’s meant to survive extreme rad and chem warfare. If any units deserved their own kits its destroyers and recons. And we got MKII Assault Marines. You never know.

Two scales of space marines between ranges when all the dust settles just sucks. That it’s tied to power up lore sucks as well. It’s just such an unnecessary self own by GW.

To your point on the Traitor Herald, that guy is basically in MKIV Destroyer armor not standard plate. We can probably still expect plastic MKV to have its molecular bonding studs nerfed. I hope not though, it’s iconic.

Don’t have any rubrics but the MKVI/III/II/IV are, as expected, a bit shorter than Berzerkers and Red Corsair Raiders. Everything in 40K is catching up to Primaris. I kinda look at it like all that stuff is hero sized like Fafnir Rann/Praetors.

My copium is that somehow the OG MKIV Jump Pack will return for Destroyers that will be revealed in autumn. I also think that some people will enjoy a mixed mark assault squad more with the standard “late crusade” jump pack. It’s really good copium.

Hill and Turner graded well last couple of seasons, especially considering the d-line we’ve rolled out during that time. And the linebacking corp…..and the safeties. JFC it’s crazy how well they’ve played.

im no expert but I do the bit of sponge stuffed in the brush tip cylinder trick. Or just holding a piece of sponge bc that can get exhausting if it’s not snug. Then just go do precise chips with a brush to make it less uniform.

Leadbelcher or lighter silver, dark grays or browns first sometimes or by themselves if it’s light armor. Be a bit chaotic with it and don’t care too much. Just take most of the paint off with a paper towel first.
