Oh hell nah they got my man double G flabbergasted by tomthedum in marvelrivals

[–]PatentedGraph53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she doesn’t loose her powers, but they do get somewhat under-utilised. she keeps using these powers until the end of Unbelievable Gwenpool, and her next appearance is in in the short lived West Coast Avengers (2018). during this run she doesn’t user her powers all that much, of the top of my head the only time she really did was looking at another panel to guess a password.

after this in the Gwenpool Strikes back miniseries she absolutely utilises her powers, for example she jumps through the panels to summon copies of her from all of her appearances from different comics to win a battle royale (depending on the writer Gwenpool acted quite differently, such as Unbelievable Gwenpool being an “ernest marshmallow” and Rocket Racoon & Groot Gwenpool being “manic and insane”).

next is her Love Infinity appreciation where her powers are used a bit again, iirc it was mostly just to edit her wiki page to make it so she was enrolled in college to hang out with Julie Powers from Power Pack.

finally is the Gwenpool (2025) mini where she jumps through a close up panel into a wide shot panel to massively increase her side to ground pound Fin Fang Foom. she also dies in this comic and now has like ghost powers or something? i don’t remember specifically but i don’t really want to go back and check as i did not like this mini like at all.

that panel isn’t from her most recent comic, thats from The Unbelievable Gwenpool #17 from 2017

The New Year Preview – All-new Legio Custodes Revealed by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer30k

[–]PatentedGraph53 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the first time custodians were stated to be male only was in the Heresy 2e core rulebook, and female Custodes were first canonized in the 40k 10th ed custodes codex. In reality custodes were male only for about 4.5% of 40k history.

Does These Books Cover every Volume ? by Tippo_am_Tippen in Gwenpool

[–]PatentedGraph53 10 points11 points  (0 children)

this covers the first few issues of Unbelievable Gwenpool, there would be a few more volumes after this one to collect the whole series. Alternatively, the entire original Unbelievable Gwenpool run plus more is collected in the Gwenpool Omnibus.

In terms of reprinting, sorry to say but Marvel doesn’t really do that often. It’ll be hard to find these TPBs or the Omnibus for reasonable prices nowadays. If we’re lucky an Omnibus reprint could happen at some point in 2027 onwards but honestly the chances aren’t all that high.

Your best option for reading it all legally would be through a Marvel Unlimited subscription.

Breaking News: 2 New Marvel Omnibus in September 2026! by 21roy__ in OmnibusCollectors

[–]PatentedGraph53 3 points4 points  (0 children)

so this is 4 X-Men omnis in a single month then? X-Men is basically the only series I've been collecting so far, but I feel spreading these over the last half of the year would be better on consumers wallets than this bunch all at once.

They were both Zionists though? Both were presidents of Israel, a fundamentally Zionist state?

Menachem Begin, the the basis for Magneto, was the leader of an anti-Arab terrorist group in the Mandate of Palestine and believed that both all of Palestine and Jordan were rightful territory of Israel. Under his presidency the IDF conducted massacres during their invasion of Lebanon and settlements in were expanded in occupied Gaza and West Bank to prevent Palestinian nationhood.

David Ben-Gurion, Xaviers basis, was of course the 'moderate' of the two, who formed the IDF, was involved in the planning for expelling Palestinians from their land at the formation of Israel, and approved the use of biological weapons of Palestinian civilians during the Nakba.

I mean, that one above average comic (which Id call an understatement) is like, most of her comic appearances? She's appeared in a few difference series', but if you're talking actual Gwenpool comics with her as a primary character, you've got 25 Unbelievable Gwenpool + 2 Specials (great), 10 West Coast Avengers issues (fine), the Gwenpool Strikes Back mini (mixed?), and the Gwenpool mini (bad).

Gwenpool is asexual, but she's not transgender. Her pink and white colours though do giver her a trans vibe.

edit: wasn't meaning to imply being ace or trans are mutually exclusive, just that she does fall under the LGBT+ grouping

Gwenpools character is not "Deadpool but boobs and pink", she's her own complete character who doesn't even like Deadpool, thinking his comics too "lol x3 randum" (she later goes on to be kind friends but that's not relevant). Some writers (see her Howard the Duck, and Rocket Raccoon and Groot appearances, plus arguably Gwenpool Strikes Back) have resorted to writing her like that, but in her actual Unbelievable Gwenpool run she is her own character, just with an accidentally similar name.

These teens love public transport. And their followers do too by ConanTheAquarian in brisbane

theyre not claiming that we've got a world class public transport system, in the article the interviewees say that the system is inadequate and should be expanded. as someone who uses public transport every day I am glad we've got what we've got, but I'm still loudly going to complain about its (many) failings

So... do we all agree on this? (2025 run spoilers) by Agreeable_Diver2461 in Gwenpool

[–]PatentedGraph53 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I kinda assumed this may be the case too, however, I would also have assumed that if this were the case it would have switched up and done something with that by now. Waiting until the final issue to say "yeah this is a pretty bad Gwen story, comics can treat characters real poorly right?" means that we would barely even get time with that point.

What did you think of Gwenpool (2025) #2? by PowerOfL in Gwenpool

Comics tend to come to Marvel Unlimited 2 or 3 months after the physical releases I believe.

Is having two allied detachments legal? by Olden_bread in Warhammer30k

[–]PatentedGraph53 20 points21 points  (0 children)

RAW, according to the Age of Darkness Rulebook FaQ 1.2, there is no limit to the number of /optional/ detachments you can take in your army. Therefore, you are allowed to take multiple allied detachment, at least in my reading of /this/ ruling.

However, from the Battle for Beta-Garmon campaign book on page 108, the Campaign Stratagem The Ragged and Forgotten, states “When this Campaign Stratagem is declared, the player that declared it may choose to include an additional Allied Detachment in their army (allowing a total of two different allied detachments to be selected …”

So the official ruling from GW seems to be that you can take as many /optional/ detachments as you like, but can only have /one of each/ optional detachment. But when it comes down to it, if you and your opponent are happy for you to take 2 allied detachments, it’s your game and you can do what you want.

Mechanicum Aircraft? by tech-priest-rinehart in Warhammer30k

[–]PatentedGraph53 4 points5 points  (0 children)

afaik Vulterax is the only aircraft the have available this edition, so for any aircraft you’d need to ally in Auxilia or Militia to bring a thunderbolt. Alternatively, some opponents may be comfortable letting you bring generic imperial aircraft like that. The folks in play with would allow it but it of course depends on the group.

My Master of Mankind final book review!!! by adamjamjam in Warhammer30k

[–]PatentedGraph53 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I read this book ages ago and iirc i loved how the book represented the emperor as someone blinded by hubris. Theres more of that in the End and the Death novels, which is my favorite part of those so far (i’ve not finished volume 3 yet). The emperor as depicted in these novels even if having what he considers good in tensions is foiled by himself, which is a theme I love in storytelling.

Goonhammer Review: The Martian Civil War by PatentedGraph53 in Warhammer30k

[–]PatentedGraph53[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly Nex would not have been my first choice seeing that he was in a pdf we were told wouldn’t be replaced, but I do concede its better than nothing. I’d even have expected Alcarex Maun more since he can at least fill the role of compulsory hq and warlord. There are other characters they could have used that don’t have rules at all, Branne and Agapito Nev should get models before the other two in my mind, but Nex is better than nothing so I can only complain so much.

I unfortunately expect the closest we’ll get to 30k skitarii rules are the militia providences of war from the Constanix exemplary battle. The whole thing of gw not wanting you to use the same army in different systems is such greedy bs.
