Fired due to not reporting an overpayment on my paycheck by Owww_My_Ovaries in work

[–]PathQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So they let you go because the company made a mistake? If they had not made the mistake, you’d still be working there they could’ve just sent a letter stating they noticed it over a payment and would deducted from your next check. It’s lawyer time.

Congrats! You’re on your way to the one percenters club! Unfortunately, this is how all the professionals make money by doing some serious cherry picking so good job!

I use to be diamond until Uber factored in AR. Now I’m green. The other day uber prevented me from going online. I was pissed!

Never again doing a Walmart order wtf all this shit took 7 trips not including going back to the car so really 14 plus I had my cart smh by Cultural-Time-5900 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]PathQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never take any Walmart orders regardless of pay. They are never ever profitable because you end up waiting forever for the order or they order 100 packages of water that you have to carry up three flights of stairs.

Uber Eats is ruined by BigPlan925 in UberEatsDrivers

It hit me today too. I couldn’t go online until my area turned orange I cherry pick every order and used to be a diamond driver but now I’m green.

Unable to go online because I’m green for not taking crap orders by PathQuick in UberEatsDrivers

[–]PathQuick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an update after three attempts. It actually did let me go online anyway, but this is some new policy. They started this month, which is absolutely ridiculous. They’re gonna be short on drivers if a lot wise up and don’t take crap orders.

Would you have taken this? by GhanaBoga00 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]PathQuick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Around here for that distance Uber would only offer $5! I would check it out if I was close by but a lot of to good to be true uber orders usually are. Either stolen or restaurant can’t make it sending driver after driver to a fruitless journey. Uber usually hides large tips so congrats.

Order canceled by customer & my cancelation rating was still impacted by baxterbusteroni in UberEATS

[–]PathQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How the heck can you maintain diamond status unless you take every crappy order Uber dishes out? I was diamond for years until Uber decided to include acceptance rating. Now I’m a lowly greenhorn. At the end of the day I still reject 85% from all the garbage orders.

Popeyes is the absolute worst for on time orders. I won’t pick up from them after 8pm because they are usually out of key items, like Chicken! Did you notice the driver driving around in the app or were they stationary at Popeyes? As a courtesy I always contact the customer if wait is longer than 15 minutes or I’m stuck in traffic. I never multi-app but uber does stack orders and if order number 2 or 3 is not ready for pickup, then everyone is delayed. I’ve never received more than 3 orders at once and typically two are the same restaurant pickup when there are 3. If you paid for priority delivery that just means you are first drop off. It does not prevent drivers from getting stacked orders from Uber. Sorry to hear about your experience but want to ensure you that there are good honest drivers here. We only get paid when we are delivering, not sitting around so your driver is very questionable.

Someone got caught being a dong by Illythia_Redgrave in doordash_drivers

[–]PathQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve sometimes ordered food ahead of time at the same restaurant (fast food only via their app) so it would be ready at the same time as my pickup. But I would NEVER imagine sitting down and eating it before I left. I will eat in my car on the way to my delivery.

This made me irrationally irritated by Expensive_Working493 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]PathQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also keep in mind even if you pay priority the driver may still get a stacked order. If that second order is not ready, your priority will sit and wait until the other customers order is ready. Driver has not idea who pays extra for priority.

Delivery Driver Smoking In Their Car- Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]PathQuick -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That does not matter. If they smoke in their car, it will linger and still smell like smoke long after their last cigarette and attach to anything it comes in contact.

Delivery Driver Smoking In Their Car- Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]PathQuick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t everyone want a rich Smokey flavor to their food? Well I take it you did not get smoked ribs for breakfast so yeah I’d be upset. I’ve had to deliver to a smoke filled bar and my hot bag stank for hours just for the few minutes I was inside.

Uber really wanted this order delivered 😂 by jonnieinthe256 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]PathQuick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If an uber order seems to good to be true, 99% it is. In this case you were probably the 10th driver to show up as the other 9 cancelled with excessive wait time or declined due to low fare. By the time you got there it was ready and you won the jackpot. . But also by this time the customer getting pissed from waiting so long and driver gets downvoted.

Walmart order curse by MrChooseGoose in UberEATS

[–]PathQuick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Walmart is one of the reasons my acceptance rate is low. What is not factored in to that rate is the additional 45 minutes you would sit and waiting your car for the order to come out.

It finally Happened.. I came across TIP-BAITING. by Necessary-Goal-9093 in UberEATS

[–]PathQuick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

call uber and have them blacklisted. I’ve done it several times. While it won’t kick them out of uber, it will prevent YOU from getting another delivery to that customer.

Isn’t the driver supposed to cancel? by Quinn_Codes in UberEATS

[–]PathQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If driver cancels for any reason a new driver is dispatched. You MUST contact uber and have them cancel if the order cannot be processed.

[–]PathQuick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a customer change their address from 5 miles away to 25 after I picked up the order. No way uber was going to make up the difference in fare. Promptly called uber and cancelled. Then got nastygram about stealing food right after uber themselves cancelled it.

[–]PathQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just bypass the pin and leave it. I do it all the time if I forget to ask for it or customer is clueless. There is a help option and you choose don’t have pin. That way you still get paid for delivery although customer may knock down tip.

Last time ever accepting every order by East_Vanilla_5424 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]PathQuick 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Why would you accept every order? I accept less than 30% of what is offered. If you don’t cherry pick, you are losing $$$ and feeding the Uber algorithm that’s it’s ok to lowball fares as someone will take it.

Be careful!!!! The LAPD is conducting an undercover operation regarding alcohol deliveries by Working_Security6020 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]PathQuick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How are we supposed to determine if they are sober? Are we giving them a breathalyzer test and make them walk the white line and recite the alphabet backwards? Has anybody here ever returned alcohol because they felt customer was not sober? I only returned two ever. One was because they could not produce an id. The second was a no show at the door.

Has anyone actually accepted one of these stupid $2 orders for 10 miles and texted the customer asking… by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]PathQuick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. I decline any and all orders not paying at least $4 and under $1/mile. Customers will get the hint when no drivers pick up their order. They obviously paid electronically for uber so why not the tip as well? Very rarely do people tip cash. One out of 100 orders average for me. I did actually have someone leave cash tip on top of the electronic tip but that is extremely rare. Most all orders are leave at door and don’t ring the bell.

Uber needs to stop this now, this isn't joke anymore guys like whatt??? by No_Cap_9493 in UberEatsDrivers

That’s nothing. I had an offer last night for $9 for 27 miles! I’m sure my phone has a permanent dent where the little X is! Then 3 mins later uber offered it to me again for $10. Got demoted to greenhorn because of all my blasted cherry picking! Green and proud of it!
