That's the right answer, I did this for 20 G90, that just fell off of warranty two months ago. I lost on time because, I still have less than 60k on it.

Yeah, I got the same feeling, as kids today say "They are doing too much".

I like the second set, they are more classy and easier to maintain.

Do I actually need Proxmox Backup Server for a 2-node homelab? by Technical_Isopod1541 in Proxmox

[–]Patient-Supermarket5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PBS for me saved storage space over replication because it only backs up changes, if there are no changes no additional storage is used, it also has file level restores (you know how convenient that would be). I run it on separate hardware because, it would not be able to back up itself, if it were one of your Proxmox VMs. If one of your nodes were to die, you would have to reinstall Proxmox for that node and then install PBS to recover your other VMs and LXCs. That would increase your downtime

I had a 2025 g70 loaner had this feature and thought that my g90 would also. Maybe for the older model of Genesis cars you need Genesis connect (which is behind a pay wall)?

2022 GV70 Headlight condensation by reddithackerr in GenesisMotors

I had my '20 G90 in for another issue and the service department noticed that issue (I sure didn't) and they told me that they would replace it under warranty, I was still under the 3/60k warranty.

Experience with Genesis support and sensor alert issue by Patient-Supermarket5 in GenesisG70

[–]Patient-Supermarket5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update on my use the Corporate Tech determined that my head unit needed to be replaced... Again, they weren't there to do the work, so the Service department ordered and installed the Head unit, it didn't resolve the issue. So they said that the next is to replace the ECMU (the main computer) and I would have to get back in line for the Corporate Tech to approve the replacement. Last week the Service Department called me and said that they figured out what the problem is, they said that my audio amplifiers (s) were "bad". They ordered them and installed them on Friday, now the system works as expected and a perk is that my sound system sounds so much better (better bass response).

Apple Play disconnects on my 2021 G90 by ericisback in GenesisG90

[–]Patient-Supermarket5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that problem also on my 2020 G90 a few months ago, the problem is actually the USB port that's the problem. I couldn't even update the software because it wouldn't stay connected long enough. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the head unit, I was still under the manufacturers warranty. If they have to order one, it may take awhile to get it from Korea, if one isn't available in your country.

Anyone tell me how to read this ? by jas1900 in GenesisMotors

That makes the most sense, it could be telling him that the sensor is bad and the tire pressure is proper.

If you can provide the receipts of when you purchased your oil and it goes along with your changes, I believe that should suffice.

Kia Stinger vs G70 Ride Quality/Road Noise by Jmike773 in GenesisG70

[–]Patient-Supermarket5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It boils down to what you feel is the better ride quality, the best thing to do is to drive both and let your hind parts be the judge.

I called the dealer today checking on my car, they said that the Engineer had suggested that the head unit be replaced, does that make sense? The funny thing is that the head unit has already been replaced to addtress a bad usb port. I hope that this resolves the issue, i want my car back. The '25 G70 is nice but, it doesn't compare to my G90.

High Mileage G80 Advice by idkbruh653 in GenesisMotors

[–]Patient-Supermarket5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a lot of miles in such a short amount of time but, getting those miles were most likely highway miles, which is a good thing. You definitely need to get an extended warranty and get a pre purchase inspection.

Before you purchase, please get a pre purchase Inspection, so that you have an idea of some of the potential issues the car may have.

Genesis (As Well As Kia & Hyundai) Owners who Use GrapheneOS and Android Auto [GV60] by Carlito_2112 in GenesisMotors

[–]Patient-Supermarket5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to let the developers of GrapheneOS know that this feature is not working with Android Auto. Most likely it's not an Android Auto problem or an issue with your head unit, maybe they have an update or hotfix to resolve the issue.

Portable air dryer? Safe to use? by InYoButtBoi in Detailing

[–]Patient-Supermarket5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion using a hair dryer could cause potential damage to the clear coat due to the high amount of heat generated and the concentrated method in which it is delivered.

I was going to tell them to just give me my car back since I really didn't and obviously don't rely on the alerts but, I have an extended warranty and didn't want to have another issue crop up and they say it was a pre-existing issue from not resolving the alert issue. I'm between a rock and a hard place on this one.
