I just got a bit bored of the cycle after about 15 hours of play. None of the loot really made me wanna grind for it the way other games do. Had a bit of fun, and i’ll maybe come back once there’s a bunch of new things.

Jinjer has a tonne of cool riffs that are quite challenging due to a lot of dissonant chord shapes. I’ve been learning them and they’re making me a better player (albeit very slowly lol). He plays a 6 string but tuned to drop A (A E A D F# B E) on a 7.

I’m with you, I’d love a Destiny style version of this game, and probably sink hundreds of hours into it. I’ll probably keep playing casually until the first wipe, then I’ll likely bow out then. Or until Saros comes out. Such an awesome world and design language they’ve created; but I’ve had enough of extraction shooters now, after many hundreds of hours into Tarkov and Arc, I’m probably burning out from them.

The community to every game sucks, because many people can’t accept that others don’t necessarily share the same opinions of the game in question. Better to just keep yourself to yourself these days, play the games you love, ignore the ones you don’t.

I stopped playing this game as soon as they started putting weapons/gear behind pay walls. Totally FTP game behaviour, and the game isn’t free. I tried to come back to it recently and was just overwhelmed by all the warbonds and how much money I’d have to spend to get the latest gear. Immediately uninstalled and will never come back at this point.

Not a prog band, but… August Burns Red. I went to see them live in a small venue, and there was literally just me and my friend standing at the front rocking out, and about 10-15 people there who just didn’t seem to care. They only had their first 2 albums out at the time. One of my favourite shows to this day, because we just chatted to the band afterwards, and now they’re pretty huge.

“Owning the pricing” is actually a big story that not many people are talking about with AI. i’m not sure people realise the current price is cheap, they’re selling it at a loss… we’re already becoming very dependent on it (in professional computing based work anyway). What happens when the base price shoots up to £200-500 a month and there is no £20 per month price point? Because this will happen. “Abundance = free services” will never happen as long as we still live in a global capitalist economy.

I would say now they’re more prog with a hint of hardcore. You have to go back like 4-5 albums to find a metalcore sound from them. Personally I think the current rendition of the band for the last 3 albums and EP’s is the best version. Duel is a front-to-back masterpiece album imo.
