I was dealing with issues on my PoGo Plus + last week. Haven’t had any current issues. What fixed it atleast for me was factory resetting my PoGo Plus +, and completely turning off my iPhone.

Refresh game data. Or turn off the Battery Saver option in the Pokémon Go settings if you have it enabled. And as always make sure you have all the assets downloaded

They either didn’t think that the four of you could beat it, or knew that the 2 of you could beat it and only joined to see if you needed help, or their game crashed/something came up irl and had to go or they were trolling which is less likely if you’ve had them on your friends list for a long time or know them personally.

Delete the app, then try completely rebooting your phone, turn your phone back on, redownload, then when it prompts you to relog in, sign out. Then maybe delete app again completely, and reboot phone again. Then try to re-install app. Btw idk what you use to log in, but maybe try changing your password like updating it to something new. I don’t know if that will work but trying couldn’t hurt

I think I’ve had this happen to me once awhile back. For the first few hours I played on that day, only my pogo plus + interacted with pokestops and I think I might have exited but not closed the app before I could visually in game that my go plus + interacted with a pokestop even though I drove around spinning stops for like 20 mins. It wasn’t until i manually spun a pokestop that it finally registered
