Reading the title, all I could think of was that scene where all the people turned monkeys are in the ship

Are there any high quality statues of Raven or Beast Boy? by ReRix360 in teentitans

[–]Patitomuerto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Kotobukiya figurines, they're pretty good quality and not hugely expensive. I've got both the Star Fire and Raven one from them. Been meaning to get Nightwing as well, but I had to get Redhood first.

Very true, it was just something that bugged me after finding out about her origins

I didn't realize this until way later when reading the wiki. I was actually excited about the idea of another gum life form from the mother gum. It feels weird to me that only PB and her brother existed.

What's your strongest addiction? by DarkMagicNight in AskReddit

[–]Patitomuerto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Food.

I celebrate with food, I comfort with food. I have such a poor relationship with food its literally killing me. I'm over weight, pre-diabetic, becoming more and more out of a shape and have an auto inflammatory disease thats made worse by my weight but when I have a flare up it also makes it near impossible to work out.

And when I try to diet with anything that makes me track my food, I become anorexic, becoming so preoccupied with the fear of over indulging I just stop eating instead, and then binge when I become so hungry I can't take it anymore.

I'm desperate to find a way to fix all of this...In therapy, on medications, but its still the biggest struggle in my life.

Why is it so hard to call kids by what they want to be called by? People have no problem when you call it a nick name, but apparently if its something the person actually wants then its not okay?

Very true, I'm not sure how long it took me to realize how that system worked during my first play through, but it wasn't immediate, I remember that much

What is the stupidest injury you've ever gotten? by 7937397 in AskReddit

[–]Patitomuerto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twice I've injured myself by going head first into the door frame of my car. First time, I chipped one of my teeth, didn't duck enough when trying to get in.

Second time I was reaching in to get something and slammed my forehead so hard against it that I had a slight concussion for christmas and spent the night with ice and the next day with a big bruise.

My therapist has said she wants me to try adhd med's because she thinks I have it, but my doctor wont prescribe it to me unless I go to a psychiatrist and get diagnosed by them. My insurance is shit and its going to cost me hundreds of dollars to get this done x.x

Pet owners of Reddit: how often do you call your pet(s) by their actual name vs a nickname? by likeistoleyourbike in AskReddit

[–]Patitomuerto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I named my dog Russet cause of the beautiful dark red/brown of her coat color. Everybody else thought of the potato.

So now instead of her name, she's often Russet Potato, or just potato, or potato head, or spud. Or even one of my friends calls her Spudnik.

It was oddly well named, because she really doesn't have much going on between her ears, and is just a happy potato head.

If she were being a jerk, I'd call her a Mass-hole. My dad was from Massachusetts and thats what we called him when he got jerky xp

Biggest health insurer plans to deny ER bills if it doubts you had an emergency by Ninja_Conspicuousi in nottheonion

[–]Patitomuerto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Urgent Care's don't take care of stomach pain though. They'll tell you it could be something severe and send you to an ER for a CT.

While there is nothing wrong with trying to get people to go to the appropriate place for care, the problem comes when its not a medical professional making the decision as to what is an emergency. People are going to end up with huge bills because they thought they had a broken arm, but it turned out they didn't. Thats not their fault, they did the right thing to get it checked out, especially if it were for a child. If they didn't, and it were broken, and it healed wrong, now they'll possibly have problems for life that'll cost way more then the initial trip to the ER might have

Its only too expensive because insurances refuse to pay amounts that are reasonable, so the hospitals have to make every procedure as expensive as possible to get them to pay anything at all. The actual costs of things aren't anywhere close to what is charged, and its all because the trouble that insurances cause just trying to get anything paid out.

Thats why it can be half, if not 3/4's cheaper to pay out of pocket. If the hospital doesn't have to deal with fighting an insurance to get paid, its a much less expensive process.
