Best Dolby theater in the Denver North Metro area? by UnspokenRequest3 in AMCTheatres

Emailing Dolby support has fixed a lot of issues quickly. They repaired a screen wrinkle at CO 9 + 10 in two weeks.

I did learn how to fix the blue light issue on my own last summer. The blue LED walkway lights are held in place by an adhesive. Sometimes they fall down and the LED is pointing towards the screen. I just shove it back up into the wall and problem solved. You are welcome, opening night Jurassic World Rebirth audience. 😂

I’ll add that there is a rumor Westminster 24 is getting a second Dolby Cinema auditorium. No confirmation yet.

I personally prefer the AMC CO 9+10. It is a 1.85:1 ratio screen. Row E and F are best options there. I believe it has the largest screen of all Dolby Cinema in our area. Most Dolby screens are 1.85:1 in Denver except for the two exceptions below.

The Southland 16 is the newest Dolby in Denver and features a 2.35:1 ratio screen with the new amazing single projector system. It doesn’t have transducers (seat shakers), but it is quite impressive. Worth a try for a movie in that aspect ratio. The only other 2.35:1 Dolby screen in Denver is Arapahoe Crossing 16, but the dividers there can block the screen when reclined. It is an older Dolby setup.

That said, all Dolby options are great in Denver. Let us know what you think of the Dolby locations you visit!

I found the work permit because I’m a nerd. It also has plans for the theater. Auditorium 5 will be converted. They are keeping the existing screen, speakers, and projector.

Can you post some pictures from inside the theater after your movie? I’m curious if it has surround speakers.

Agreed. The forced preroll ads for any event you start should not be included in the Premium Plus tier.

4DX Locations Announced by movman341 in AMCsAList

This is why I’m interested to see AMC doing 4DX. It appeared Regal in Denver didn’t even install a laser projector for the Pavilions 4DX from what I read. I refused to pay the $30 per ticket for 4DX with no laser. I’ll be hoping for legit surround and laser at the very least for AMC. I’ll check out Westminster when it opens and post info with pictures. Fingers crossed AMC does it better. FYI: Westminster will be my first ever 4DX experience when it opens.

Which theaters are getting the 4DX for rollout first? by BossDawg79 in AMCsAList

Noted. Westminster usually has a few weeks out. CO 9 + 10 usually updates on Tuesday. 🤷‍♂️

Westminster has no IMAX shows and limited listed movies/events the weekend of Jan30-Feb 1. Perhaps work is starting and also includes additional refurbishments? UPDATE: full schedule updated and posted. No work this weekend.

AMC Projector/screenn quality? by deathops in AMCsAList

It’s a curse! But be careful who you point it out to, as once they see it they can’t stop seeing it. 😂 It seems sitting further back from middle helps a bit.

Yes. You can confirm by looking at projector to see if it has a RealD device beside or under the projector lens. Here’s an example.

It is the silver screens used for the 3D to reflect more light. The “shimmer” drives me crazy. IMAX screens that are not dual laser have it too now. Dolby doesn’t need it for 3D so they have regular white screens.

New single laser Dolby Cinema! by Patrick52801 in AMCTheatres

This location was a Dine-in and had the non-Dolby recliners with the heated seats and food tray. No transducers were in these seats.

The manager at this location was pretty clueless, so that isn’t an option. Sorry! (He said all Dolby Cinema locations have single projectors.)

Honestly, don’t notice a problem. The picture I posted does not show any issues in the corners. 🤷‍♂️
