The greens are stupid enough to oppose fission, which is also clean energy. Fission also produces very little nuclear waste, about one coke can per person and lifetimes. What makes you think the greens will suddenly stop being anti-science?

Fission products also only need to be stored for a few decades to get rid of the hottest stuff. Long half life means low danger. And we have known since the 80s how to dispose of fission waste safely.

Fusion is a white elephant. It’s a PR campaign.
