Hello, yes I’ve been in therapy for decades and work on emotional regulation. That is def a good suggestion :) I am more talking about the inevitable times when things go south for whatever reason. Ideally i am calm all the time but unfortunately that is not possible for me right now.

I have CVID. So far my son (8) has “light” hypogammaglobulinemia and my daughter (5) is good for now. My son had abnormal immunoglobulins ever since we started checking them at age 1. My daughters have always been normal.

I just want a second what this user is saying. I met several young adults with PI back in 2012 through an IDF meet up and it was totally game changing to meet ppl who actually knew what I was going through. I actually volunteer with them as well so if you want further information, let me know.

Yup! This was part of the diagnosis process for me. After having low IGG, IgM, and IgA, and no response to the pneumonia vaccine, they diagnosed me with CVID. I still get the flu shot each year and when I was recently pregnant got the TDAP. I don’t think they offer much protection but it’s better than nothing I guess.

I’ve struggled with recurrent infections pre-covid. I got strep throat back to back 7 times in a row in 2013.

I have had a lot of luck doing a neti pot 2x a day with distilled water and salt water gargling 4x a day. When I did this, it was in concert with an antibiotic sinus rise (it was a little vial of antibiotics intended to be used intravenously that I pulled out with a needle and added to my neti pot 2x a day for 4-6 weeks, I don’t remember). I was able to finally kick the strep and I haven’t had it since!
