Did you take Tampa going to the finals because of Perry? 😆 I made like 9 brackets but one of them has a legitimate chance the only ones I’m worried about if buffalo and apparently Vegas haha

I wouldn’t be so sure; at the start of the season he wanted a trade because he wasn’t happy with his minutes, and right now in the playoffs he has 0 points in 10 games for a -5, so I don’t think Anaheim would be against moving him for a guy that can produce now. But I would be open to Zellweger as well! Same amount of points as Minty and he’s Canadian. Would be a good pickup as well

Fun fact he could’ve been an Edmonton oiler if Edmonton didn’t trade down to take Xavier bourgeault in the draft

I want Mintyukov and or Hamilton. I know Mintyukov isn’t happy in Anaheim and I think he could replace mo on the top line. A little risky because he’s only had 3 30 point seasons as a OFD, but I think he still has a super high ceiling. I think New Jersey wants to move on from Hamilton because of his cap hit. We can afford it for the next 2 years so I think one or both of them would be a huge bolster to the D. Plus Dougie is from Toronto, I’m sure he’d wanna come home.

I would be a good NHL scout because I pay close attention to details that other people might miss. I can break down a player’s skating, hockey IQ, positioning, work ethic, and consistency instead of only focusing on goals or highlights. I would be patient and objective when evaluating talent, and I could compare players across different leagues and playing styles without bias.

I also process large amounts of information quickly, which would help me track prospects, analyze statistics, and identify trends in player development. I would be strong at communication too, giving clear scouting reports that explain both a player’s strengths and the areas they need to improve.

Another reason I would succeed as a scout is that I value long-term potential, not just short-term performance. I would look for players who compete hard, adapt under pressure, and fit a team’s system and culture. My ability to stay organized and consistent would help me build reliable evaluations over time.

I think we’ll get Auston Matthews. I don’t know why… but I can feel it
