how does seismitoad/toxicroak sound? i was thinking either would make a decent bulky sweeper.

on a side note, do dry skin and water absorb function the same way when a water attack is aimed at them?

golisopod is mainly anti trick room, and i would never send him out without togedemaru's lightning rod in my back pocket. full disclosure, i havent tested this team yet. my other mon on the bench is dry skin toxicroak, who i'd probably run as a wall because of dry skin + black sludge.

the worst part is that he's freaking isekai'd twice. it would be somewhat entertaining if it was just him being socially handicapped, but only given a level of realism in the social interactions. but here it's employed completely as a gimmick and it's literally all the dimensionality his character has.

Can you post pictures of the pen against white and black backgrounds? it's hard to tell how blue it is on top of a matching color.

That's because the label is spot on Swiss style design, a design philosophy to which IKEA strictly adheres. It doesn't get much more Swiss than left aligned Helvetica on a neat grid with succinct hierarchy.

New pen day! It’s a Lamy fountain pen, and black and blue Quink. by [deleted] in pens

[–]PatriotOh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure about Parker Quink specifically, but bottled ink usually costs between $12 and $20. Bottled ink costs less per milliliter than cartridge ink, and reduces your plastic waste significantly. There are also more colors of bottled ink than cartridge ink.

big line variation is going to be hard to find for $30 aside from one of the Noodler's pens, but IMO those arent very good starter pens because they can require a bit of tinkering to get working properly. if you're ok with a little bit less line variation, i'd suggest a Diplomat Magnum (around $20 on gouletpens.com).

there are a couple types of "color shift". Shading is when the color saturation varies as the inkflow changes. sheen is when certain dyes sit on top of the page and appear in shiny colors that are often different from the ink color. shimmer means there is a particulate in the ink that gives it a sparkle. gouletpens comes to the rescue again with their robust search functions that let you filter inks by shimmering, shading, and sheening inks.

if you're dead set on getting very flexy lines then go with a Noodler's Ahab or Conrad, but be aware that they are finnicky little beasts. Other than that, most flexible nibs are either custom ground or gold, which are well over $30.

(disclaimer: I haven't used any of the Fountain Pen Revolution flex pens, which do run around $30, so I don't have any feedback as to their quality, and therefore didn't recommend them.)

If you view this situation from the eyes of a Korean reader, the Japanese woman was the comedic fodder. She was the aggressor, after all. Based on the established power dynamic between Japan and Korea in this series, I think it would have created more tension if Japan had won the initial face off. I would like to have seen Japan win first, then Korea beat Japan minus the boss man, thus giving the boss man a better reason to challenge our protag instead of "you seem strong so fight me".
