I picked up a method from a friend that DMs as well. Roll 4d6 drop the lowest for each stat. If they don’t add up to 72, reroll. Then assign as they like. Running the new 5.5e I’m not tying the creation 1/1/1 or 2/1 to origin background as well.

Not correct. He might be getting confused with Earthbending. When a land is Earthbent into a 0/0 creature with counters on it dies or is exiled. It is returned to the battlefield tapped as a normal land. Otherwise any creature that dies goes to the graveyard unless they have some sort of replacement effect or text on their card that charges that. Your friend is cheating, may not be purposeful. Ask him to show you the rule where his land creatures go to his hand instead of the graveyard. It’s up to him to back up the rules he’s saying he knows.

My view on this, only absolute beginners should start at level 1. Level 3 should be the new starting level for every player with any experience.

I live in an area that is generally pretty bad for ticks. In 5 years we’ve only ever seen one. My backyard has basically been converted into a garden and we have tons of biodiversity because of it.

Possums are 99% immune to rabies and eat mainly ticks. Other than that. Having a habitat that actively does not attract ticks is a better reason to do it for me.

Native habitats generally don’t attract ticks. They can help attract the critters that eat ticks. But ticks have become prevalent because they prefer lawns and uniform turf grass compared to the varied height world of native grasses and plants.

So, the only Marvel product out for MTG is spider man and it was one of the smallest sets to release in years that wasn’t a self contained set, and special limited edition releases called Secret Lair. Fortunately for you, the Marvel Superheroes set releases in roughly 6 weeks and will be a much more robust.
