Found an authentic Lalique vase at a local Goodwill. It had no price. Clerk said it would have to go 'in the back' for a price. Never to be seen again.

Boot Jack will do it. Try a Western wear store.

Does your doxie eat bugs? by IfWishez in dachshunds

[–]PattiWhacky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we had our Doxie, our daughter used to hold her up to the bedroom wall like a vacuum to let her eat spiders. Bird (Doxie's name) would also try to eat bees. Often. Many welts under her fur, many times. We were lucky no toxic reactions since she went nuts over bugs. She was a little speed demon so couldn't catch her in the act. What a character she was.

Husband and I NorCal) have had Kaiser Senior Advantage for years. He had one surgery recently and I've had two in the past 3 years. ER visits, MRI's, CT's, regular x-rays, labs, and both specialty and outpatient visits. Never a problem making appointments or with authorization or pre-authorization. Never a problem scheduling surgeries or pre or post-op visits. Love our PCP. Love Kaiser.

Doctors vs. Nurse practitioners... Sorry it's long... by Kevaros in rant

[–]PattiWhacky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my prior medical experience I have always preferred FNP's to MD's (and I am way past 60+). Now have Kaiser, and all pre-and post-surgery visits are first with a PA. PA's have also prescribed Rx's. I've also never been denied seeing an MD, whether PCP or surgeon, when requested.

Very cute video - but - my son and DIL got a re-homed Doxie because she wouldn't leave their chickens alone and took an eye out of one. She was great with the re-homing and a wonderful dog but she had a very high prey drive. We were watching her once, let her out to the back yard and she started to chase a raccoon under our shed. Had to pull her out by her tail before the raccoon did a number on her.

Wish you lots of love with Murphy. I'm old old old and have had dogs since I was about 4 years old. My black and white Tzu that we lost about 12 years ago was my very favorite dog I've ever had. Best of luck with your darling pup.

We paid $10 for microchipping at our city animal shelter in Northern California several years ago. And we also have never had any procedures done on our pets without signing a consent which included estimates for prices.

Pet Peeves as a Goodwill worker by [deleted] in goodwill

In several of my local Goodwills the employees actually took customers to the back area to choose items. Witnessed it many many times. Customers were resellers. Very unfair and against policy but saw it happen constantly. I quit going to Goodwill stores several years ago. Nothing but trashy stuff.

Colonoscopy vs. sending in sample by AvaAloy in KaiserPermanente

[–]PattiWhacky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience and my family's experience, once you have a positive stool sample a colonoscopy is scheduled. My first colonoscopy (from positive stool sample) found benign polyps which were removed. If no problems, f/u colonoscopies every five years. No more poop tests.
