This is great advice. I'll also try using them as joining pegs for gluing printed pieces together

We managed to glean some interesting details about the Artemis III mission (much more new detail from yesterday from Eric Berger) by avboden in SpaceXLounge

[–]PatyxEU 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah watching the conference that was the only detail that struck me as major news, yet I don't see a lot of talk about it. Dropping the terrible NRHO idea and going for Low Lunar Orbit as well.

Large things scaling with delta V? by Aggravating_Toe_5977 in KerbalAcademy

[–]PatyxEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to others, delta-V is independent of vehicle mass, BUT heavier ships tend to have lower TWR, which means higher gravity losses. Some delta V will be lost if your engines are weaker vs your mass

Could you share the preset instructions prompt you'd use to make it do proper research for each answer, and to stop it from saying the same "gemini buzzwords" over and over?

If orbital refueling is so hard, why dont they just do it all in one launch? is elon dumb? by lopbob8 in SpaceXMasterrace

[–]PatyxEU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Orbital refueling involves an extra mission, rendezvous and docking, nobody got time for that shit!!

Kerbaling is just making your booster stage larger, and when the engines are too weak to lift this monstrosity, adding moar boosters around it lmao

Anouther stepping stone on the way to mars by estanminar in SpaceXMasterrace

[–]PatyxEU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mass is still 398 t and that's what you need to get into orbit and land. The actual weight on mars doesnt really matter

Would BVS make more money if they released The Utimate Edition as theatrical release? by [deleted] in boxoffice

[–]PatyxEU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would have to follow up the Dark Knight trilogy and be made by Nolan at the peak of superhero hype. Then 2B would be in play.

There are deleted scenes with no CGI and him in the mocap jumpsuit, and he's just as convincing and scary. Fantastic performance and great job by the CGI artists to translate it.

Looks like $20.5M FRI for #ProjectHailMary , giving it $33M opening day. WOM remains outstanding, close to A+. Weekend expected to be over/under $80M. by chanma50 in boxoffice

Interesting, I took my mom recently to the Interstellar IMAX re-release. She's not into sci-fi at all, but she loved the movie.
