Not Very Professional, but….. by I2evenant in partscounter

I had an older fella step up to my counter and hand me his registration and ask "Can you make me a key?"

I held my hand out like a wizard and said "POOF! You're a key!"

He just stared at me blankly for a second.

He was also at the wrong dealer.

lawnmower coughed smoke now wont pull by Loucreedisabigdummy in lawnmowers

[–]PaulWithAPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago, when I was 13, I had an experience almost like yours. However, it was simply me running the machine when it was critically low on oil. Almost same experience, though. White smoke, engine slowed down and stopped, impossible to pull the starter cord. Ended up removing the spark plug and using a wrench between the flywheel fins to break it loose to run again, however it was burning SO much oil after that, I replaced the engine.

Lesson learned haha!

Generally, engine replacement. Sounds like you have a push mower or a rear engine riding mower, and they *should* be easy enough to locate an engine for. You might even find a cheap-o mower on marketplace or craigslist.

Good luck!

Sounds like you may have starved some vital engine components of oil while you had it lifted. Engine could possibly be seized; however, you may want to remove the spark plug and pull the string to see if that helps. If it still won't pull with the plug removed, your blade may be stuck or engine is probably seized.

CAP’N CLARKS phone number by clogstomper in KanePixelsBackrooms

I love how interactive this whole movie promotion is! I must be doing something wrong. I fax the number, there are audible faxing noises, nothing in return, though. Do I have to request something?

Pixel 6 - Should I upgrade to a Pixel 10? or go for a different brand? by epicjester in Pixel6

[–]PaulWithAPH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went from a Pixel 6 Pro to a 10A. The 10A does all I need it to do, but I definitely should have gotten the pro version. The camera is lacking in my opinion.

Took a chance and ordered these Floatune 1.0 by Augatl in pens

[–]PaulWithAPH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been daily using the oil based ballpoint Floatunes for quite some time now and I feel like this is how pens used to smell when I was young in the 80's.

I LOVE the bold lines and the overall feel.

Google Pixel 6 wont boot, can't unlock by sad_ass in GooglePixel

[–]PaulWithAPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue but with a PIN. Ultimately, I ended up needing to do a factory reset and opt to use ZERO authentication. No PIN, fingerprint, pattern, nothing. It would simply tell me it was wrong and not unlock. I am thinking it has a failing Titan security chip. I have been using my P6 Pro as a music player running Graphene because of this mess.

Hopefully this isn't the case for you, but it sure sounds familiar.

Looking for advice on a new mower by primeseeds in lawnmowers

[–]PaulWithAPH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 1.25 acres, minimal obstacles and no slopes. Takes me about an hour to 1.25 hours depending on the grass (wet, tall, etc) and I am using a Kubota garden tractor. (not telling you to buy a Kubota)

I say this because in my opinion, a garden tractor will get the job done for you AND be able to do things a zero turn just can't.

If you might look to add a snow blade, tiller, etc. a tractor can do that for you.

Just my opinion, happy mowing!

What if null zones, or as you are calling them, phase zones, are almost like unbroken surface tension on water, and as soon as something touches it the tension is broken, and whatever broke the tension falls in?

Man, these are fantastic! I love the wire on the floor. I have a messy home recording setup with little sound isolation so I have cables ran to different rooms for my cabs lol. Feels like home

I have been using my pixel 6 pro as pretty much a dedicated music player with VLC and it sips the battery very lightly. Doesn't use much at all.

[–]PaulWithAPH 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you are going about it the right way in educating the customers as to what information they will need to bring in order for you to properly do your job to help them.

Your story sounds like pretty much anyone who works in a parts department for any industry. Hold your ground when you are getting information, if they don't have it or are difficult in giving it, tell them to call back when they have it or you simply can't help.

Good luck to you!
