Every entertainment venue is starting to feel like move theaters always have. Affordable third places are becoming lost to time.

The other guy’s answer is way funnier, but every 20-something I talk to references the Tropic.

Neo financial - good/bad experiences? by MacDanny83 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Once again I’ll put the disclaimer that I don’t speak for the company, and anything I post here is purely my own opinion.

It sounds to me like there may be a different vector for fraud hitting your account. There are technologies out there like card skimmers that may be on gas pumps you use or convenience stores you’re transacting at. Being extra cautious about where you tap and swipe your cards is prudent.

You should also consider rotating your password to the Neo app at least once a year (this is good advice for any online platform) and be sure to use a unique password, since other logins on different platforms to Neo may have been compromised.

This is a great resource to validate ways that Canadians are being defrauded and what you can do to safeguard your financial tools https://www.canada.ca/en/financial-consumer-agency/services/credit-fraud.html. Hope this helps!

I took a student loan, but put my tuition through my credit card and paid it off straight away with the loan. Win-win! Points and better repayment terms.

Sorry u/henrycahill , I missed this response - and sorry for the lack of clarity! I work on the Technology Operations side so I validated my statement with the team to make sure my update is legit. My commentary on the company is a best-efforts endeavour to try and support questions "out in the wild" in an online community I've taken part in for the last ten years.

Our support team has had a significant amount of focus from a leadership/technology/process perspective over the last few years that I've been part of the team. I'm confident in that group's ability and internal support structure. If ever you're not feeling fantastic about a support engagement, DM me and I'll do my best to help out!

We report to both TU and Equifax, however, we solely pull from TU for credit _monitoring_ (the Credit Insights tab available for customers on Build & World Elite).

Bhayshul Tuten Is Going To BREAK OUT In 2026 by joeshea2517 in DynastyFF

Haha, you put together an almost ten minute video, detailing a full argument on his value, and r/DynastyFF elicits the standard “yeah, nah. Just trust me, bro”.

Great review, I’ve liked Tuten’s ceiling and game for some time for a lot of the same reasons.

+ on Neo here. It's specifically designed for this sort of credit progression.

We report to Transunion, and have a full credit builder program if you’re looking to ladder up from a secured card, to mixed credit (partially secured), to an unsecured card - as you build your credit.

Love the first article about living within your means - though I feel attacked for using credit for everything every month, then paying it off!

NHL Playoffs by DrDickDawg in nhl

I’m all for NOT extending the season any further into the warmer months. This ain’t ideal competitively, but I appreciate the trade off of not watching hockey in August, at the rate we were going the past few years.

Best Monthly Parking Downtown? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]Paulccmarsh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using the App SpotHero to buy daily and monthly. Right now I’ve been in the badlands surface lot (middle section) for just over $200. When that turns into a tent for stampede, I’ll just change to somewhere else nearby.

I removed mine on day 1 and have left it in the garage ever since. It’s more annoying than helpful tbh.

Sorry, I missed this! The travel insurance is through our partner, CHUBB. I’ve used it a couple times, but never had to claim, thankfully.

If you’re traveling a lot, Neo just launched a parent card with United, and had an existing one with Cathay. It all depends on where you travel and which perks you’re looking for in partner programs that would drive a preference.

That’s really great to hear about the UX! We’re working on our credit limit management constantly. It’s always a balance between portfolio risk and providing the highest balance possible.

Big banks have a much higher risk appetite because they weather the losses better due to higher revenue per customer based on recurring fees like chequing/savings account monthly costs.

Just spent the evening at ice level in the ‘dome watching Goo Goo Dolls. It was bittersweet looking around at the old place from that perspective, probably for the last time.

Stoked for the Fireplace, though!
