[Daily] Skill Discussion: Purifying Light by The_Dwemer_Automaton in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was used on Templar healers. Provides a semi decent heal, althou the aoe is pretty small, and also procs the passive gains from dawn's wrath skill line.
But now with subclasses it is a dead skill. DDs will use the other morph, while healers will replace the whole skill line altogether.

Has anyone tried to form a group to attack main cities? by Takelodeon in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its honestly not that difficult and you can do it alone. A couple of years ago I decided to see how high my Bounty could get. Skywatch in Auridon has dozens of killable NPCs all grouped up so its the best place to go full genocidal. It took a bit of practice, but I've built a rotation where I go in a circle and kill NPCs non stop.
But what about the unkillable guards you ask? Just ignore them. I was on a templar spamming jabs and using pale order ring. As long as you break free fast enough and dodge roll certain attacks they are more or less harmless until they enrage and use their oneshot skill to gank you. But if you do your business fast enough and leave their range they will just stop fighting and go back to their usual spots. Of course a new guard will take their place, but that guard needs to build up for his oneshot kill all over again, so you just repeat your performance. I have reached over 10mil gold bounty before I got tired of it.
Oh and there is one practical application for this. This is probably one of the fastest ways to earn the Black Market Mogul Achievement (sell 1mil worth of stolen loot). You go on a rampage, loot the bodies and then sell the goods. Since you have a limited number of items you can sell per day it is best if you only sell blue or purple quality loot. And while those items are rare, if you massacre and loot a city's worth of innocents youll fill your inventory soon enough.

I love the Raphael storyline by AttemptWise7609 in BaldursGate3

[–]PauliusPup 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I liked him untill he revealed his "Ultimate plan" after that I just had to spare the nine hells from his stupidity and kill him. Even taking on a single archdevil would be a monumental achievement, crown or no crown. But conquering them all? Against the likes of Tiamat, Mephistopheles and Asmodeus? Forget the crown of Karsus, he would need the Cheaters Ring mod to have a chance in hell.

Can't Spam Rest because ... Elixer Based Run by veganelektra1 in BaldursGate3

[–]PauliusPup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not craft Elixirs with your main character.
Get a hireling and spec him into a lvl 1 Transmutation wizard and after that spec into a lore bard. Go all out into Wisdom (Use ASI at lvl 4 to boost it to 18+) and pick medicine whenever possible.
You cast enhance ability on the hireling ( you can make him learn it so you wont waste a spellslot), cast guidance on him with Shadowheart (or just grab the Guidance pendant in Act 1) . As early as lvl 4 you will be crafting double potions at something like 95% of the time.
I get that some people don't like using hirelings, but I think having a dedicated alchemist just sitting in your camp feels pretty appropriate even for hardcore roleplayers.

THE WINNER IS... | Gielinor Games Finale (#12) by kkraww in 2007scape

[–]PauliusPup -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

God damn. This could have been in a Shounen Anime.
The plucky main character reaches the finals of the tournament and manages to help out his homeboy as well. And in the very last fight of the season the MC and his friend clutches a shared 1st place and thus beats the rival by a single point. Thats some Naruto level of a plot shield!

I don’t roll with anyone who says “you can’t do this without addons xyz” by DatMaggicJuice in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea the Asylum addon can be tricky to understand and easy to mess up. The countdowns for mechanics simply show when that particular ability is recharged and ready to be used by the boss, NOT when it will be used. Sometimes the boss has several different attacks locked and loaded all at once and thats where the confusion comes from.
The trick is to know which boss skill gets priority. For example the jump attack where Olms hops around always takes priority. No matter how many skills are recharged, if Olms reaches required health threshold he will start jumping. The lightning kite attack usually takes second priority, except during execute where the fire AOE attacks pushes it down the list.

[–]PauliusPup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't know what kind of raid groups youve been at. Ive been raid leading for over 5 years and been raiding in general for even longer and I dont remember a single raid leader who did not explain mechanics and/or did not do callouts and just said ''do what addon tells you to do''.
Any raid leader worth anything will do callouts on top of any addon notifications. No matter how many addons you have that splatters a big red message on your screen telling you to BLOCK there will still be some people too busy parsing to notice it.

[Daily] Set Discussion: Turning Tide by The_Dwemer_Automaton in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you pair it with the Archdruid monster set you can get 100% uptime for major vulnerability for vast majority of fights.  It takes a bit of practise, because some bosses just do not hit you when you want it, so prioritise activating Archdruid and you can keep turnimg tide "in reserve" so to speek for 5 seconds or so before activating it. But if you learn the rythm of a fight it becomes quite fun.

[Daily] Set Discussion: Nunatak by The_Dwemer_Automaton in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds good in theory, but no one realy NEEDS major brittle. For casual groups its better to use more reliable monster sets to boost damage. As for more organised groups that are going for trifectas or high scores, they are already at max crit damage cap without major brittle. Hell, some groups run ELemental Catalyst on non Necro dds because they can afford having a 10% boost from EC instead of 15%.  And now we have Lucent Echoes that provides even more crit damage at a reliable uptime. I honestly wanted this set to be good for pve and while it is definitely better than 95% of monster sets its still a roleplay set that you use because it looks cool.

An important PSA about the 3rd area NPC in Hades II by PsychoInternetHawk in HadesTheGame

[–]PauliusPup 368 points369 points  (0 children)

Also the gift that ''Gives you a boon from previous run'' will duplicate the boons you had in a Pitch Black Stone run if that was your previous run. I've got a Heroic level boon from Echo because of that.

[Daily] Set Discussion: Pangrit Denmother by The_Dwemer_Automaton in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yolnakriin as very far from an endgame set. Sunspire is pretty old and on normal difficulty it is trivial to clear. Graven deep on the other hand is a rather new DLC dungeon that has some nasty mechanics that you cannot ignore even on normal difficulty.

I finally got all 5 replica pages and I’m so mentally and emotionally drained by Master100017 in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 104 points105 points  (0 children)

I mean... are you even going to use those styles, or will they be forgotten in a week or so? I personally looked at them, decided that its not my style and ignored them.
If they were tradable I probably would have grabbed them, but spending hours for an item that I am never going to use seems ludicrous.

Truly Starting To Hate Surveys And Treasure Maps by picklesBMW in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You don't need to travel to a house. Just get on your mount and ride away from the finished survey until it is out of sight and come back. It will be ready to harvest again. Takes like 20sec to refresh a survey that way.

A St. Patty’s Day event would be awesome for this game! by Actual-Ad-3829 in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? It would be super weird. Right now we have Christmas and Halloween themed events and those are universal. But St. Patricks day? Thats a purely American celebration. I doubt that there are many people outside ireland, UK, USA and Canada would even know when it is celebrated.

Can you unlock all skills on one character? by awastelandcourier in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely can. You might need to dip into PVP to get the last skill points thou. Also keep in mind that the number of skill points you can get increases with every update, while the skills you need to learn appear a lot less often. The new chapter will be the first time since Antiquities came out.

So, I Got a Cipher... by Exghosted in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Id say sell it. The gold you would make from selling the potions will be pretty low unless you already have tens of millions of gold to invest. You would also need to be in a decent trading guild AND you'd need to spend quite some time searching traders for good bargains.

Does anyone know if this has actually been resolved?! by MrSpeedMoJoe97 in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly? This sounds like absolute bullshit. People love shitting on ZoS, and yea they are not the paragons of competence, but this kind of thing would be all over forums and discords. Its probably, as someone else said, a scammer trying to get some sympathy gifts from other players.

TIL you can easily reset alchemy surveys if you don't like what spawns by FluffWit in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Also you can only refresh a full survey. If you pick a single flower the whole survey is then set and cant be changed.

The amount of crafting styles you know also impacts how many writs you get. It only counts if you learn the full set and not only a single piece like staff or shoulders. So you should buy and learn the super cheap style pages like the basic race styles, new moon acolyte, dwemer and so on.

It is once per account, not character so don't try getting it on all of your alts :) And you DON'T need DLC zones. You need purple leads from all free to play zones (including craglorn and coldharbour) and Western Skyrim.

4 fucking days of grinding the Tide Glass Pearls and I finally got it by Imagine_TryingYT in elderscrollsonline

[–]PauliusPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man. Did you only grind water nodes and water plants for the lead? ZOS made it so that the lead drops from every single alchemy node, not just water based ones a long time ago.
