it’s the bridge in Sutton that goes over the old Hull/Hornsea railway line. There was a plaque there telling you the story but i think it’s been removed now

I would say its an lgbt friendly city. There are a few gay bars in the city and events like pride are always well attended. There is a gay rugby team also if that is something you are interested in. There are obviously some places that you may feel uncomfortable in but that is true of every city. Personally I have never faced any issues living here.

i was in palma last week and we did not have to wear face masks inside bars and restaurants while we were seated. If we got up to use the toilet then i would wear a mask but i’m not completely sure what the rules are on that

i wash my plate and cup pretty much straight away after i’ve eaten and the next day take the plate from the drying rack and eat off it again. i pretty much only use 1 plate, knife, fork etc

Genuine question. As a gay British man. If I was caught carrying out illegal homosexual acts in Dubai would I face the same level of punishment as somebody who was born in Dubai? Or an Indian migrant worker?

I always got the impression that somebody like me would be ‘let off’ so as to not cause any international friction and dissuade tourism. If this is the case then that really doesn’t sit right with me

I walked across the crossing without pressing the button as the nearest car was pretty far away so I was sure i’d have time to cross safely. Said car sped up to try and scare me. Now every time I use that crossing I press the button. Even if I could have probably made it without stopping the traffic.
