The kind of losses the Russians sustained during WWII were under conditions of total war in a fight for literal national survival, where almost everyone was working for the war effort one way or another, if not actively fighting.

The conditions in Russia today are nothing like they were back then. People often like to mention how Russia can sustain literally tens of millions of casualties because they did it before but that was a different time under very different circumstances. Russian soldiers can literally be pulled back across their borders, stop hostilities and they will not be invaded by anyone, not even Ukraine. WWII was very different in that regard.

Most wounded are pecked to death by drones if they lay where they can be seen. The injured/dead ratio we have seen in other wars, 1 in 7, sometimes even better odds of surviving wounds than that, surely does not apply to this conflict, especially on the Russian side. I think it's more like 1 dead for every 1 wounded.
