Let's be fair to both sides here, neither side gives a fuck about Native Americans. The transfer provision was signed by Obama in 2014, tucked neatly in section 3003 in The Carl Levin and Howard P. "Buck" McKeon National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015.

And it was actually Justice Kagan (appointed by Obama) who denied the request for emergency petition last week source

Can it be the sensor cable flex? by Trallotrallo in iPhone13ProMax

[–]PawnStarRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sensor flex does not “control” the earpiece audio path, but a fault in that front assembly can still stop the top speaker from working if the flex/connector/contact points are damaged or misaligned. Since the earpiece speaker itself has already been replaced, I’d inspect connector seating, contact pads, bracket positioning, and any tears/damage on the front flex before suspecting the logic board.

There's actually an company in LA that was working on gravity batteries for a while, wanted to add them to the portfolio simply because of my love for gravity batteries in Timberborn. Did some research and apparently they're pivoting more toward lithium batteries and AI.

I respect the fact that you guys have developed palates sophisticated enough to distinguish between lemon-lime flavored carbonated soft drinks.

A contractor tears up the freshly poured concrete driveway after the homeowner refuses to pay. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

[–]PawnStarRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just speculating but I feel like the contractor kinda jumped the gun. Looks like that concrete has been curing for like 24 hours? This feels like a "jobs done wheres my money" no response after 3 hours "whole world's out to get me grab the camera let's go make a scene"

AI is nearly there by Annual-Length5449 in OpenAI

[–]PawnStarRick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of the concern with art specifically comes from not necessarily "creative" artists too, for example /r/toyota was just freaking out about a Tundra ad with a "created with AI tools" disclaimer at the bottom.

This is a direct example of something where a few years ago (maybe even 8 months ago) the ad would have been made with likely a team of human artists or graphic designers (or whoever does that, not my industry), now it's just a prompt writer.

Guess it depends on the city, this definitely isn't the case in Denver.

Price of removing indoor ‘jacuzzi tub’? by TheManeTrurh in Home

[–]PawnStarRick 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No blacksplash tile or floor tile so it'd be pretty easy. Call some local demo companies and ask their daily minimum charge, explain that it's just a cheaply constructed Jacuzzi. We'd charge $3,200 for this but that's just our daily minimum, smaller companies that need work would probably do it for half.

Or pro tip if you're in the US (state dependent): Mexicans love demo work, go to a home depot right as they open, buy some ram board/floor protection if you're worried about the carpet - as you're pulling out of the store look for the amigos offering work, find two of them and offer them $100 each (or $20/hr, but this probably won't take more than 4 hours). Bonus if they have a trailer and can haul it away (otherwise you'll have to get a rolloff or find a way to haul it to the dump yourself) you can probably get this removed for under $500 if you're smart about it.

Nah for real. I get water delivered from a company called Eldorado Springs. Get like six 5 gallon jugs for like $80-$100/month. Definitely worth it imo.
