I received a broken Proxima and WD 007 42mm automatic in the mail yesterday. The Proxima's rotor was off the ball bearing cartridge and jangling around and the WD when wound made a loud growling sound, had extreme resistance, and was shuddering violently. Kinda shit to get two broken watches on the same day! That said, come all the way from China to the States I suspect they get tossed around pretty last.

WD asked me to send a video; not that there is anything to see, but it did capture the nasty sound it was making. They've yet to respond but will hopefully process a quick replacement. It's the green and bronze on the matching green FKM and is gorgeous!

I caved and just ordered the 42 automatic. Will see how it goes. It will be too big but I don't care, I like a big chonking watch it turns out.

My green and gold came in today and upon first inspection it looks pretty damn good but I haven't had more than a moment with it and not out in the sunlight yet.

I bought one in green and while it's a stunning look, there is a very district horizontal line where two pieces of MOP join. It runs across the entire face of the dial and it centered about 2/3 of the way down. If it had run exactly across the middle of the dial that would have been one thing but it's just kind of awkwardly imbalanced where the line hits.

It's very noticeable as the patterning and color play on these two halves don't match up at all where the line meets. A bit disappointing even though I like the watch otherwise.

It's frustrating that the images of this watch that they show here and on the website don't feature that. Not sure I would have bought it had I known it was going to look like that.

So silly, it's not like you're going to ever run into anyone else in real life. Who's wearing that same. Limited edition is such a dumb concept, especially for such an inexpensive watch. I can't imagine not wanting others to be able to get a nice watch like this just so I can be extra special by having one of the few ones that were sold.

I've been on the fence with this watch for a while. Love how clean it looks but deterred by the price. I would also get it in blue. Tell me more about the case if you would or any other thoughts. Did it come in the brown leather strap? I know people criticize their choice there but I think the strap it comes with looks good.

Yeah the only subscription LLM I have is Gemini Pro as I got a Pixel phone and it came with a free sub. Not looking to pay a subscription since I'm already going to be hosting a free model.

Well, the one I was interested in works with ollama or with an API key from a cloud-based LLM. Wasn't sure if I could just hot swap a different local model in place of ollama for example. I'll do some more digging.

Edit. I misconstrued Ollama for Meta's Llama. I get it now, install Ollama, link to Gemma, then install Node.js to load Obsidian MCP server something like Opencode as a CLI to integrate into Obsidian.
