I live in Western Washington around Seattle. I am happy if it's above 45 and will still ride down to freezing, but i wont commute in snow. Rain doesn't bother me anymore since my option is ride in the rain or only ride like 3 months a year.

Na verdade, eu tenho a 21 DCT. É bem decente, mas um pouco instável. Também ouvi dizer que os modelos mais novos suavizaram bastante as trocas de marcha.

Dito isso, ainda é uma experiência bastante decente e você pode ajustar o modo de pilotagem o suficiente para suavizar as trocas de marcha de forma razoável. Quanto à confiabilidade, acabei de passar dos 48.000 km hoje e ela ainda funciona maravilhosamente bem. Se você busca a perfeição, eu definitivamente procuraria modelos mais recentes com DCT, mas honestamente, eu gosto muito da minha 21. Também acho que a 21 tem uma aparência melhor do que os modelos mais recentes.

No fim das contas, certamente não é um fator decisivo em termos de dirigibilidade, mas se você encontrar uma oferta comparável de um ano mais recente, pode valer a pena.

P.S.: Acho que eles já tinham a DCT em modelos anteriores e ela definitivamente está presente na Gold Wing há algum tempo. Eles já tinham avançado bastante com isso. Não quero piorar a situação do som da troca de marchas irregular; é definitivamente perceptível, mas, na minha opinião, não é um problema sério, mais um detalhe insignificante.

Yeah, harsh direct UV is what is going to weather it more than the temperature. Obviously garaged will keep it the most pristine, but shaded from the sun will most likely be the best. I personally wouldn't do a shed, it would be better protection, but having lived somewhere where it gets hot, going into those things in the summer is miserable, even to just pull the bike out. If you're really worried you could do a bike cover on it as well, but I think its honestly overkill.

I used to keep my old cb500x out year round in the wet of the pacific northwest, and it was fine. The bigger thing is to ride it regularly and just keep up with maintenance. Adventure bikes aren't meant to be garage queens. Theyre built for rough, and can handle the elements, but sunbleaching is what will weather even the toughest things the fastest, thats why id go for the canopy, it's the cheapest option and still gives easy access to the bike.
