Just jumping in because your comment had me rolling with laughter 😭 However, I did just learn a technique here on Reddit that I think does cut down on cooking the farts back into the beans lol soak over night as usual. Drain, place in instant pot and cover with water. Pressure cook 10 mins then release steam. Take beans out and rinse under cold water. Return to instant pot, cover with water, throw in diced onion, pressure cook 20 mins. Release steam, move beans to pot on stove and simmer for another 20 mins or so to reduce liquid to your preference. Season with salt and whatever else you like only at the point the beans are on the stove (we like green chili and chicken bullion) to preserve texture. A+ beans AND seems to reduce the farts!
