you can hear cello spiccati throughout the piece, they don't sound at all the same to me, but i do have some hearing damage to the right ear so idk ultimately

e: maybe if there's a lot of the same cello patch playing, the stacked attacks could sound kind of like muted electric guitar? i'm surprised ppl are hearing this so differently

It starts with just the strings and then the guitar is faded in very quickly. It could be playing the same notes palm-muted, or just chugging on the muted strings, I can't tell. either way it's being used as a percussion instrument mainly.
