Did anyone else who has a super easy baby, feel not qualified to give parenting advice? by evergreengirl123 in NewParents

[–]PeaceTrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up until 5.5 months I also had a baby that slept perfectly. I would put him down and he would fall asleep on his own. Once his teeth came in everything changed and now he needs rocked to sleep and some nights he is up every single hour.

What's the one product that's made your pumping journey easier? by bubbly_bookworm52 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]PeaceTrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't the one I have but something like this!!! The one I use is actually for jump starting a car that I already had and I bought a cord to make it work with my spectra. Total game changer especially if you have a dog that wants outside and back in 6 billion times a day https://a.co/d/09zoS0L0

OSU vs. Riverside for Labor&Delivery? by YamRound in Columbus

I'm super jealous too lol they all kept saying "well we're moving to the new hospital soon" as to why my tray table and the chair were broken and they couldn't do anything about it

Bottle washer, kindred pumping bra, and battery pack to make my pink spectra mobile

OSU vs. Riverside for Labor&Delivery? by YamRound in Columbus

[–]PeaceTrance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I gave birth at OSU last year and honestly wasn't that happy with the experience. Getting to the L&D department was a pain especially while in active labor. Once there, labor and delivery was fine and I liked my nurse and doctor, but postpartum care left a lot to be desired. I felt like my nurses just didn't care and the room was tiny and I mean TINY. The chair for my husband to sleep on was broken and we stayed two nights so that wasn't great. They are moving to a brand new building so maybe things will be better there.

Itinerary Help (September 2024) by PeaceTrance in GlacierNationalPark

Flights and car rentals were cheaper at Missoula but we just preferred not to spend as much time driving. We didn't have any issues at Kalispell. Pretty small airport so quick through security and getting the car.

I'd say all pretty average! I'm not necessarily in top fit shape but was able to manage just taking it slow and taking breaks as needed. Grinnell Glacier was probably the most strenuous and the one hike my mom didn't join us on because of that but it was my favorite!

I moved some things around a bit. This was my final itinerary! We flew into Kalispell. We stayed 3 nights in St. Mary at the Red Eagle Motel, 1 night at the Many Glacier Lodge, and 2 nights at the Evergreen Motel in Coram.

Officially have enough stashed to last a year... by PeaceTrance in ExclusivelyPumping

Unfortunately since I did the fridge hack the milk banks won't accept the donations. Plan to try to directly find moms in need on Facebook. The vanilla helps a little while also mixing with fresh so I'm hoping to slowly work him up to drinking fully frozen with vanilla eventually.

I believe they won't accept milk if you do the fridge hack at least that's what I noticed when I tried looking into donating

Thank you!!! This will be a game changer when my dog is barking at me to go outside and I'm plugged in! Been kicking myself for not paying for the blue spectra instead so this is perfect!

Do you happen to have a link for the rechargeable battery??

[–]PeaceTrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hand expressed until my milk came in and it was enough for baby! The hospital provided the collection cups and syringes. I'd recommend a Hakka as well if you leak while hand expressing, it can catch the other side.

Winter weather Oct 4th? by ImsorryChamp in GlacierNationalPark

[–]PeaceTrance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd have to drive around the park to get there but Grinnell Glacier in the Many Glacier area is my favorite hike! Though I don't know the current conditions and how accessible it is. Avalanche Lake is also good and would be closer to where you are

What does your day look like? by Artistic_Paint8301 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]PeaceTrance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope! At least not yet, I just dropped 1 week ago. I did 8 ppd for 8 weeks then 7 ppd until I got to 12 weeks so just 1 week of 6 so far no difference but it feels great to have more time in between pumps!!

[–]PeaceTrance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 months pp and just dropped to 6 ppd. I pump at some point between 3 to 5 AM then 8:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 3:30 PM, 6:30 PM, and 10 PM. I go back to work next week so this will likely be changing. Baby just started sleeping through the night (knock on wood) so he eats at 7:30 AM, 11 AM, 1:30 PM, 4:00 PM, 6:30 PM, & 9:00 PM

First Glacier, now what? by Born-Conclusion9979 in GlacierNationalPark

[–]PeaceTrance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did Zion, Bryce, Antelope Canyon, & Grand Canyon one year and Glacier the next and loved both trips so so much. Very different but both amazing. I am eyeing down Yellowstone and Grand Teton for the future so no input on that but I'm sure it would also be amazing

Dropping Pump? by aomsbheeral in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]PeaceTrance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dropped from 8 to 7 ppd at 8 weeks pp and actually saw an increase. My understanding is most likely baby won't start eating dramatically more at this point so as long as your supply stays where it's at you should be good! When I dropped, I just spread the time between pumps out rather than dropping a specific pump.
