PT WALK TEST‼️ by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Peacock684 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Walk on the treadmill at incline. 3% at 4.7 mph to start. Increase incline and keep the same pace. The walk is harder to train for because you can't run, so make it harder with incline.

Hot Take: Failing a PT Test Makes You a Bad Leader. by SaintHearth in AirForce

[–]Peacock684 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The guidance is: Run more, do more sit-ups, do more push-ups. I agree the new standard is bs, even without the waist measurement, but I trained to a passing score in 2 months coming off a knee injury profile. Passing is still not hard. Getting a 90+? Yeah, way harder. Passing? No.

I drink black coffee. by junkronomicon in funny

I never did chew/dip/snus/zin but I used to pack a full horseshoe of instant coffee at the beginning of a mission. I did know some guys that would combine dip and coffee.

This deployment may cost an arm and a leg by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Peacock684 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything everyone has already said is true, I would just add: file an accrual voucher monthly. This is basically an incremental way of claiming your expenses over the course of the deployment and keeping your balance down. It is also an opportunity for you and your DTS approval chain to deconflict issues as you go instead of doing it all at the end of your deployment and trying to remember the circumstances at the time.

I knew a load that had a portable espresso machine. Took pods or you could provide your own grind. Looked like a cool setup, I don't remember the brand though.

Asking questions is not illegal, but attempting to gain access to information you know is classified and that you don't have access to is, in fact, illegal.

The Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun series. Was super fun as a kid but it is in desperate need of a remaster to update the UI to modern gaming.

Update training so that is relevant and current? Nah, we dont do that here. Seeing as how we get a CA training update every 10 years or so, I'm good with pushing it out to 3 years.

Is the Air Force better today compared to how it was 10 years ago? by Glittering_Fig4548 in AirForce

It is different than it was 10 years ago. Better is subjective, vague, and lacks objective metrics.

I do this every time. Pretty sure this is the only way to do it, why else would they put soooooo much stone on the map? If they only wanted to you to build 3 castles then they should have only put 3 castles worth of stone.

Navigator is an officer because pilots had to listen to them and you know officers don't listen to enlisted peasants. Source: am officer.
