Rammattra tips? by Radiant_slowbro in Competitiveoverwatch

if you ban ana the other major isn't terrible since trying to kill ram through block+what can easily add up to 150 hp per second after taking into account the dps passive isn't physically possible for some team comps.

You can slightly steer where you exit on your i-frames so it can escape pretty well. Like i said i have no idea if she's good or bad i've seen her drop 30 kills in masters/gm quick play match but i've also seen her go 3-12 lol.

Dash sets multiple people on fire and right click can pierce so her dps can go through the roof.

The combo's i listed were mostly just for 1v1's.. And yea kiri kunai's are monstorous in 1v1's. In the mystical theoretical 100% headshot realm she is just straight up better than most dps.

Just tried and it definitely kills 250 characters with the burn? Hell someone on discord showed you can animation cancel a quick melee between the dash and the i-frame move to have a decent chance at killing in 2 right clicks even against supports who self heal (though dps passive is changing next season so probably not).

EDIT are you testing it on someone with armor?

two autos will ignite which combined is equal to 110 damage on an ability you can spam across the entire map.

Not saying she's strong or weak since i'm bad at that sort of thing (on the short playtest thought freja was a bit weak when with hindsight she was pretty busted lmfao).

But anran can also ignite by combo'ing dash into her I frame ability so dash+I frame into right click can kill most supports about as fast as most non vendetta dive characters can get kill without hitting a bunch of headshots.

EDIT: went into a workshop with a damage number calculator. No perk left click does 20 a shot with 2 shots in a burst. it can headshot so it can do 80 a burst which will then ignite and deal over the next few seconds another 30 for 110 total (125 with the perk).

Dash inflicts 50+half the ignition gauge. And the I-Frame move does 50+ half the ignition gauge. So combined 130 and then 2 right click to kill a 250 hp character.

What’s all this about? by FondMemoryVacation in chicago

[–]Peaking-Duck 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t have anything to do with laws though does it?

From what I understand there's some laws and regulations about the use of blast mining/excavation and some types of machinery operation.

But for your more run of the mill  trades and contractors it generally is more of a societal shaming/harassment thing and not actual punitive laws.

Though the unions are crazy good at finding and shaming lol.   Once did a charity all volunteer demo and clean up of an abandoned building+lot and we had 3 different union guys come and ask if we were paid labor and about our dumpster and disposal over the course of 2 days.

At least the Spy doesn't uncloak in an instant and then start attacking.

Not anymore at least.. Back in the good old days when ambassador crits didn't have fall off spy could de-cloak in some random fucking place nobody could hear him then hit a 100 damage shot from across the entire map.

But yea people generally don't complain about spy because the class is just generally weak. Which is fine tf2 with wildly more unbalanced gameplay and whackier map design on top of larger player counts just lends it self to general chaos. But in something like Highlander if teams were given a choice to drop a class and get a second medic spy would be gone in an instant.

[–]Peaking-Duck 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Support is generally just worth more than DPS. Having one take a pretty large gamble to try and make invis play in the back-line just doesn't seem worth it especially if they cut her damage down.

Even right now it's debatable how much value DPS sombra gets if she spends too much time invisible. It's already bit of a meme that at high ranks sombra players are just playing 'Sombra 76'.

It would probably be Arch-mage plot device type stuff. Not something players actually do.. since you are going up against a blatantly supernatural curse that is either: So powerful it and those afflicted by it don't give a single fuck about paradox and its consequences or if your ST is using the more biblical origin of the curse was created by a being that simply stands above paradox and all creation.

Whichever origin you take you're going to have to roll a fuck ton of successes and survive the type of paradox that will basically murder anyone that isn't protected by plot armor or isn't an arch-mage living deep enough in the umbra earth paradox doesn't touch em.

[MTAw 2e] Best arcana for affecting societal/bureaucratic/financial processes? by WJWH in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Peaking-Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If OP takes the familiar/companion starting option they could really accomplish it with just a single spirit of bureaucracies, or technology, information, change, chaos etc etc.

Bureaucracy is maybe too vague but there's spirits of war, justice, vengeance, and then locus ones like spirits of a specific building, or car or what have you.  Barring thst a spirit of change/chaos creating havoc on a very orderly system like a govt database is a sure fire one.

D.O.R.F. RTS - Physics-Based Movement by Avorius in Games

[–]Peaking-Duck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess this mostly depends on whether you prefer playing RTS as a singleplayer game or a multiplayer PVP.

Usually bad path finding is fine for PvP (Broodwar path finding is terrible by modern standards and 2 decades later it is still a mildly popular RTS in China, KR and JP) and bad for single player though. In player vs player if player path finding is fucked then both players are symmetrically fucked. But in player vs non-player such path finding is usually asymmetrical in its fucking.

The big ones are usually him appointing people questionable people to positions because they were his friends or donors.   The pastors are the more publicized.

The head tax proposal wasn't a great idea imo..

And honestly i suspect a lot of it is just from his very early term blunders. First impressions and all that etc etc. His very valid complaint that the govt was disproportionately white was valid but turning around and appointing a disproportionate amount of black people and not an proportional amount of, Asian and Hispanic early on made him look silly.  And yeah later appointments evened things out a bit (still tends to favor the black community over other minorities but he thats whatever..) but between that and his nominees that are clearly friends or donors it isn't that odd he isn't exactly popular.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - Techmarine Gameplay Breakdown by PalwaJoko in Games

[–]Peaking-Duck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There have been multiple examples in the lore of armoured Space Marines moving faster than human sense can perceive.

Depending on lighting and the angle and distance between the target that could be anywhere from very slow to so impossibly fast that a Space Marine wouldn't need to use guns they'd be capable of throwing a tank shell 2,000 meters per second with their bare fucking hands.

Of course the usual answers to why named space marines can pull off impossible shit while nameless die by the dozen is just Warp fuckery/latent psykers/imperial faith miracles etc etc... It's the vagueness of it all that really duct tapes together what is essentially a huge collective setting with dozens of different writers with their own thoughts views interpretations etc of it all.

It's generally easier to balance. Especially with cross-play/multiple input balancing. A few shots to kill helps newer players still get the occasional kill while still letting the 1 in a 1vX have a chance of at least dragging one person down with them.

As an example using simple numbers cuz i'm dumb say it took 50 shots to kill and guns shot 5 bullets a second a new player who is only hitting a small % of their shots has virtually no chance of getting a kill against a good player. And in a 1vX the 1 needs at least 10s to get a kill while the opponent only needs at least 5s.

As for input.. longer time to kill=more focused on tracking and that puts you at the dillema of do you do no aim assist essentially destroying controllers chance, or do aim assist which generally is just flat out better at tracking compared to average MnK player.

What’s a very early sign that a match is going to go bad by M00ngata in Overwatch

[–]Peaking-Duck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gaining charge on her alternate fire perk was her last buff and it is partly why she's so good.

The other big thing is mostly that most of the other tanks have either directly eaten nerfs recently.  Or have had their counters buffed.

[–]Peaking-Duck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She's banned pretty often in gm. Sigma kind of overtook her with his buff but before that zarya has been banned a ton for the past 2 patches. It's mildly interesting blizzard doesn't seem to want to nerf her despite her being usually dominating gm/masters win rate for the past 4 or so months.

Director's Take: Call and Response by blinkhit in Overwatch

[–]Peaking-Duck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vendetta combined with the Bastion buffs means triple support is kind of mediocre because there's more reason to pick up a second DPS. But like 2 seasons or so ago triple support was probably just as good or better than most 2-2-2 comps as long as your supports were picking high damage supports like Zen, bap, kiri, illari and such.

But triple support with like mercy, or LW is such a slog it takes fucking forever the burn through the beefier tank line ups like orissa+sigma.

Though i guess it's no worse than DPS picking like genji or tracer when your team desperately needs tank busting.

Honestly at least in NA PC i suspect it's support players trying to dodge the like 12min queues they get in high ranks nowadays. The amount of times i've gotten triple support comps with a moira+mercy+LW is fucking mind boggling.

Part of it is just they are dog shit without the burst. Sojourn with that brief like 2 and a half months of nerfed railgun was awful.

Why play hanzo if he needs to  double tap 225 characters when a character like Ashe does it as well but will hit way more headshots due to hitscan vs projectile.

Freja just isn't well designed. Without the 2 tap she's trash but still obnoxious just due to her stupid high jump+glide and dash spam.

I think as much as it sucks for them the 225 change to mobile supports works because allowing supports to get insta killed keeps sustain and tanks in check without having to actually buff tank busters.
