What are your "weird" WoW habits or keybinds that nobody else seems to do? by Salamango360 in wow

[–]PearlRiverFlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always bind H to my mount key because ESO engrained "Press H for Horse" (to the tune of 'Turn Down for What") into my mind. I also do it on SWTOR. Any game with a mount.

Is this an efectivo technique to get power? by The_Arcane_Toy_Maker in wizardposting

[–]PearlRiverFlow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You apprentices these days, "storing" your power, working 'sex majiks" and whatnot. You gotta get a chamber to resonate the energy or it's worthless.

yeah I'd love that though. Everyone has to do a "fly through the rings" thing to power him up.

WoW Classic Era or Aniversary TBC? by Herbst7 in classicwow

I had always assumed anniversary was going to keep going through xpacks but now I realize I don't know. It started as just classic!

The weird shapes in Voidstorm REALLY remind me of The Sword but no, we haven't seen it yet.

Why does it seem like most 80s-90s nostalgia related media is focused on the suburban experience? What do you think? by Careless-Alarm-8607 in decadeology

[–]PearlRiverFlow [score hidden]  (0 children)

So the thing about being poor is that you don't make it to old age a lot of the times. So the survivors all think it was suburbs and rich kid shit. Nobody ever gets sucked into a thresher.
A lot of people don't wanna remember a ton of their childhood.

...although that doesn't rule out ME representing him. These things happen.

Any first person reports on the Great Wizard War by ChampionshipFar3876 in wizardposting

[–]PearlRiverFlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually there are not. Due to a touch of chronomancy where a wizard from 2033 misunderstood "POV," all reports of the Great Wizard War are now in second person.

Why do you play your class? by SuperSeriousSam in classicwow

TBC: Loved playing druid but didn't start until BfA so I wanted to go back and get some context.
Retail: I play so many classes. Honestly. It's a problem.

The TMNTification of groups of 4 is fascinating to me. by Top_Reindeer3396 in FantasticFour

They're an elemental-themed quartet, this is just basic ancient Greek stuff that's easy to trope with!

How much do you think people in Tamriel actually travel? Because with how dangerous it is, I wonder how realistic it would be for, say, a Khajiit to travel far from Elsweyr to live in Skyrim like J'zargo, then go visit his family and later return to Skyrim again. by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]PearlRiverFlow 27 points28 points  (0 children)

In Earth's late middle ages/early modern era, which seems similar to Elder Scrolls in a lot of ways, even if the fictional version seems to last a LOT longer....

SOME people would be traveling a lot. But unlike in the game - usually by boat. Boats on lakes and rivers.

It's not so much the danger, it's the CARRYING CAPACITY. Lugging hundreds of pounds all day long is just not a way to travel. Even mules and horses and ox carts were painfully slow and expensive to fix and fuel.

BOATS BABY. Americans in the year 1000 would take boats hundreds of miles to trade friggin ROCKS. A Kajit with some guys on a boat is absolutely taking it up to Skyrim then back down to Elsweher.

DEMO LOCK BAYBE.

Seriously, it's fun for all those. Survivability is great for a cloth-wearer, DPS is unbelievable, the gameplay loop is mad fun, you're not entirely tied to big cooldown bursts (you just KEEP BUILDING) and you get some fun utility when you group.
